“Must be nice.”

Yeah. It is. You know what else it was? Lonely Friday nights learning scripts while everyone else was out. Sundays spent prospecting instead of sleeping in. Months of hearing “no” before a single “yes” meant anything.

People love to comment on the results. They never ask about the process.

Life insurance isn’t a career that rewards you on day one. It rewards you after you’ve already proven you’re not leaving. After you’ve made the calls nobody saw. After you’ve sat through the meetings that led nowhere — and still showed up the next morning ready to do it again.

That’s the part people skip when they see the lifestyle. They see the freedom and assume it was handed to you. They don’t see the 6 AM alarm with no boss making you set it. They don’t see the discipline it takes to run your own business when nobody’s checking if you clocked in.

So when someone says “must be nice” — let them. Because the truth is, it wasn’t nice for a long time. It was uncomfortable. It was uncertain. And most people would’ve quit in the middle of it.
