Somewhere between a 90s sitcom mom & a wannabe homesteader 📺🍄Jesus, raising babies & speaking my mind 💗Helping mamas grow good hair + make moves 🌱

POSTS STORIES REELS

Well… I finally made the introduction reel I've been putting off forever. 😂

No perfect hair, no perfect setup, no fancy editing. Just me, where we're at, and a little bit about where we're hoping to go.

I don't have the homestead yet.
I don't have it all figured out.
And I definitely don't have my life perfectly put together. 😂

But we've got some pretty big dreams, and instead of waiting until we've “made it” to share them, I'm taking y'all along while we figure out how to get there.

So if you're new here… hi. I'm Mandy.💚

Here's to turning someday into today ✨️ by @itsmandyjo

I figured it was about time we officially met. ☺️

I'm Mandy

I'm a mama of three, wife to be, and just a regular gal with way more dreams than I know what to do with.

For years, I kept telling myself, "Someday"

Someday when life slowed down.

Someday when the house looked better.

Someday when I had more confidence.

Someday when I felt ready.

Then one day I realized... if I kept waiting for "someday," I might never start at all.

So I finally started sharing.

Not because I had it all figured out.

Not because my life was perfect.

I started sharing because I wanted to prove to myself that I could stop waiting for "someday."

And somewhere along the way, this became so much bigger than social media.

It became about believing in myself again.

About chasing dreams that had been sitting on the back burner for far too long.

About showing up, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Around here you'll find a little bit of everything—motherhood, home projects, thrift finds, hair care, faith, big dreams, and plenty of real-life moments in between.

You'll see the messy house, the laundry that gets washed three times before it finally makes it to the dryer, the projects that don't always go as planned, and the little moments that make this life so beautiful.

I don't have it all figured out.

I'm still learning.

Still growing.

Still building.

But maybe that's the best part.

If this page reminds even one person that it's never too late to start chasing the life they've been dreaming about... then hitting "post" was worth it.

Thanks for following along while I build mine. by @itsmandyjo

This picture wasn't taken before I started using MONAT. It was taken after my hair had been through a lot. Going from blonde back to brunette, plus years of bleaching & heat styling, left my hair damaged in ways I didn't even realize until my mom took this picture of the back of my head.

Around that same time, I switched to the Bond IQ Damage Repair line and committed to sticking with the routine. I didn't expect overnight results, but over time my hair became healthier, stronger, and honestly gave me my confidence back.

I'm sharing this because it has genuinely been my experience, and I'm so thankful I made my own decision instead of letting the internet make it for me.

💛 If your hair has been through bleach, color, heat damage, or just feels like it needs some extra love, send me a message. I'd be happy to tell you exactly what I've been using and help you figure out if it's a good fit for your hair.

I used to be that girl sitting on the couch scrolling, watching other women do their thing, thinking, "Man, I could do that."

But I'd talk myself out of it every single time.

And girl, my life is still just as chaotic. Three kids, a million things going on, and some days I have no clue how I'm gonna get it all done.

But I'm figuring it out. I'm showing up even when I don't feel like it, doing things that used to scare me, and proving to myself that I CAN be consistent.

I'm still nowhere near where I wanna be, but damn, I'm proud of myself for finally giving it a shot.

Girl, at some point you gotta get off that couch and see what you're actually capable of. 👏🏼 by @itsmandyjo

One thing about Patrick, that man knows how to keep me laughing. ❤️

We were making pizzas together on vacation and y'all, he has a whole PROCESS. He worked at Mr. B's for a little bit YEARS ago and apparently some of those pizza-making habits stuck around. 😆 by @itsmandyjo

The voice is giving 80-year-old chain smoker, but the bills aren't gonna pay themselves. 😂

At the end of the day I am just a momma helping other women with their hair comebacks, chasing some really big goals and running on a gallon of caffeine. by @itsmandyjo

I used to leave the house without giving my skin a second thought. I would get compliments on how pretty my skin complexion was. Now I catch myself not wanting to post or even got out when my skin is red.

I know there’s more to me than my skin, but I still miss how it used to be. Just being honest, y’all.

Anybody else develop rosacea in their 30s? I’m learning to be okay with it, but some days it gets to me. by @itsmandyjo

Me, Dad, and the kids made this apple butter together, and, I love that they get to grow up learning these skills. Every jar’s gonna remind me of that day. We called it homeschool, but it meant a whole lot more to me. 🤎 by @itsmandyjo

Two years ago, this girl had some HUGE dreams, but she also had whole lot of self-doubt to go with them.

If I could go back and tell her anything, it'd be to quit overthinking every little thing and just KEEP SHOWING UP.

Because here I am, two years later, still chasing those same dreams. But I'm not that same girl anymore.

Same dreams. Different woman. 💚

I'm showing up. I'm being consistent. I'm getting more comfortable with being uncomfortable. And I'm finally learning that I don't have to have it all figured out to just GO FOR IT.

I really do feel like some good things are coming. I don't know exactly what this next chapter holds, but I know I'm not standing in my own way anymore.

So if you're a mama sitting over there with big dreams and every damn reason why you can't start.

Girl, imagine what could happen if you gave yourself one whole year of just SHOWING UP. Even during the messy middle. Even when you're scared, and even when nobody's watching.

Growth over fear, babe. Every single time. 🫶🏼 by @itsmandyjo

It's never just about the dishes.

And the fact that my daddy sees these old dishes and thinks of me just makes them that much more special.

I can't help but wonder how many family suppers and holidays these dishes have already been a part of. And now they're gonna be part of ours. 🥹

Since losing my granny, Thanksgiving has moved to our house, and y'all, that means more to me than I can even explain. I just hope one day my babies look back and remember all those Thanksgivings gathered around mama's table, just like I remember the ones at my granny's.

And if that table happens to be full of old thrifted dishes my daddy found for me, well, thats just fine with me.🌰🍂

Faithful Explorers Homeschool. 📚🍄✨️

If you would've told me years ago that I'd be a homeschooling mama, I probably would've laughed.

But then 2020 happened, the world changed, and our eyes were opened to a whole lot of things. Somewhere along the way, I felt God calling me to something I never imagined for myself.

And let me tell ya, it hasn't been easy. There are days I question myself, days I feel like I'm not doing enough, and days we're all just figuring it out as we go.

But one thing I do know is that God put this calling on my heart for a reason, and I'm gonna see it through.

So proud of these three babies and so thankful I get to walk this journey with them. by @itsmandyjo

If you get it, you're my kinda people. 📼✌🏼
