16 years ago I picked up my first stick, what a journey it’s been. I’m so grateful for the game of field hockey and all the opportunities it’s given me. To all the people who helped me along the way and all the people I met throughout my time, thank you. To all my coaches who took a chance on me, I’m beyond blessed. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without this game. You helped a little girl achieve her dreams, ily forever 💌

In the past 48 hours, I never expected to be in the crossfire of violence. I didn’t expect to run off the field during our game because of a shooting. The first bullet I saw was 20 feet away from me sparking up on the field. Words cannot explain how grateful I am to be here with all of my teammates, and coaches. It is a miracle that nobody was hurt, God was with us and I was being watched over. This has put a lot into perspective for me, life can change at any moment for anyone so cherish it with the ones who make your world a little better. by @itsme.savp
