The honest answer? Yes… and no.

I made the decision for myself, but the women I met along the way definitely shaped my journey. Their stories gave me real insight into what was possible - and sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.

Today, a chapter I’ve been dreading for so long finally changed.

My perpetrator pleaded guilty. Guilty to all 13 charges.

No trial. No standing in a courtroom having to prove what happened to me. No reliving the worst moments of my life in front of strangers.

I don’t even know how to describe what I’m feeling. relief, validation, exhaustion, sadness… all of it at once.

For so long, I’ve carried the weight of knowing this day was coming. Today, some of that weight finally lifted.

He admitted it. I was telling the truth. And now I can finally start closing this chapter. 🤍
