Oh New York City, what do I even say?

Living in the city I’ve dreamed of going to for so long was a pinnacle experience. I now know, without a doubt, where I belong and who I belong with.

To everyone at the NYPAA, thank you for making this one of the best experiences of my life. I’ve loved every minute of class with you all. Being with the most accepting, talented, ambitious, and passionate group of people for the last two weeks has had such a positive impact on me. It was an honor and a privilege training with you all, and I can’t wait until we all meet again and exchange stories of our careers.

As for NYC, I love it so much. It brought out a side of me I’ve wanted to see for so long, and I’ll forever be grateful for that. I’ve loved the time spent walking the streets, seeing the sights, and just taking in the atmosphere.

I’ll miss this experience for the rest of my life and I absolutely cannot wait to see everyone again. As for the city, I’ll see you in a month~

šŸ“šSenior ShowšŸ“š

I have done the CAC summer intensives since I was 13-years-old. Every summer of my teenage years I’ve had two weeks reserved at the beginning of June for these shows. I never missed a single year, either. Out of the six I did I acted in five and did tech in one. There wasn’t one performance where I didn’t have the time of my life.

I truly can’t imagine the person or actor I’d be without these intensives. They’ve shaped my career, my friendships, even the deepest parts of myself.

Matilda specifically was an incredible time! I had waited all those years to finally be the senior. I had looked up to every senior the year before and thought of how I couldn’t wait until I was the one with all the experience, the one who knew everything and everybody. Obviously that’s not how it works—you don’t step through a door and magically know everything. Theatre is a learning curve, but Matilda proved that it was all worth it.

I left on closing night knowing I had lifelong friendships, new skills, and a whole lot of incredible memories. This was by far the most accepting and supportive cast I’d ever been in. Every single hug, fist bump, high-five, kind word, helpful act, and ā€œI’ll miss youā€ will forever live in my heart. I had so much fun doing this show, I truly don’t know what it’s going to be like not doing the intensive next June. I grew up with these people, so leaving the intensives behind is like saying goodbye to a family I don’t know when I’ll see again.

To all the members of the Matilda Jr. Cast and crew, it was a pleasure being your Mrs. Phelps. And to anyone and everyone involved in any of the CAC Summer Intensives, thank you for shaping the best years of my life. I’ll love you and miss you all more than I could ever express in words~

Sincerely,
Madelyn Rose

Spring at its absolute finest~

These photos were taken on Mother’s Day, one I spent with the family celebrating my incredible mother!!

The tree in the 4th photo is my mom’s favorite, and one that I absolutely adore.

I’m nothing if not a photographer [in my own right], and I thought these photos perfectly and beautifully summed up May 10th, 2026. taken in Archbold Wilson Park, Ossian by @itsmemadelynrose

As of [two months] late~

A little more than a month left of school, then I’m DONE. Theatre starts soon, so does summer, and I truly can’t wait. Posts and announcements will appear on my page as they happen (or maybe two months after they happen), but I simply can’t wait. Summer 2026 may just be the most impeccable time of my life so far!!!

ā€¢šŸŖ暟Œ³šŸ¦ā€ā¬›Hoosier StatešŸ¦ā€ā¬›šŸŒ³šŸ¦¢ā€¢

As we head into spring in Indiana, things are becoming more green and alive. I’ve been trying to explore the state’s natural beauty more often, which is partially a reflection of the season. Don’t get me wrong—Indiana winters are cold, bare, colorless, and rather boring. But Indiana summers, those are immaculate. I have vivid childhood memories of going along the local river greenway and state park, stopping by every playground and swing-set in a five mile radius of my house, playing with the sprinkler in my backyard, and finding the hidden creeks and trails in my town.

As I prepare to leave Indiana for a while later this year (more context to come), I have realized how much I enjoy going to the hidden spots. Indiana, of course, has a troubled history when it comes to the preservation of the state’s nature (enter—or rather exit—the Grand Kankakee Marsh). That being said, I’ve noticed countless groups lately trying to revive the state’s natural beauty, and I’ve found myself outside more often than I used to be. It’s little spots like these that really make me love this state. Indiana is FULL of natural hidden gems, and there are so many places that have deep meaning to me (such as this one).

I know from experience how boring things can get here, I’m not denying that in any sense. However, if you happen to reside in Indiana, use the summers to explore—and keep an open mind! This state has a lot to offer when you open your eyes to its history, nature, and hidden trails. taken in Indiana by @itsmemadelynrose

18 isn’t too bad after all…

To be honest, I wasn’t very excited about turning 18. However, aging is a privilege, so I consider myself very fortunate to see another year. Thank you to God, my family, and my friends for making my life what it is. Nothing’s ever perfect, but I’m really happy with this era so far!!! Here’s to almost one month of being 18 and all the rest of the months after. And here’s to 17-year-old me; she would be so happy knowing what’s in store~ taken in 18 by @itsmemadelynrose

Going to telling my 8-year-old self we get to be a rainbow princess~

I was made fun of in high school for the way I dress. Is my style normal? No. However, just because I don’t conform to a societal norm doesn’t mean what I’m doing is bad. Expressing yourself through your style is one of the coolest and most genuine things you can do. The people who try to dim your light genuinely just don’t have one of their own. Don’t make that your problem. Live the one life you get, and don’t let people who don’t know the difference between uncomfortable and bad let their opinions get in the way of your happiness. #livecolorfully🌈

Tales from a now-broken necklace that I fully intend to fix (if I can find the time).

Shoutout to that carrot-flower, I really enjoyed that. And shoutout to an impeccable thrift haul, I needed that.

Delayed post, but I have the right music (and it’s false spring [catch the reference], so I’m pretending it’s warm enough to wear this).

Now I really want to go to a carrot garden.
