Might be the lack sleep but there’s something about being in the forest that makes me feel incredibly romantic! Almost feels like stepping into a hug I didn’t know I needed.

Perhaps it’s the fresh woodland air and the sound of rustling leaves lowering my cortisol and calming my nervous system, making it easier to feel more present with myself!

Or maybe I just need some shut eye! Either way I decided to romance myself with a forest dance this morning and feeling rather marvellous as a result!

Happy Sunday folks! Get yourselves down to the woods for a dance if you can! Or just enjoy laughing at mine.

Welcome back to another episode of “Be More Tree with Ronnie T”!!

Today on my walk I was inspired by the idea of community that keeps a forest thriving! Underneath the forest floor is a network called mycelium made by the fungi which feeds the trees with nutrients and goodness keep them alive! I particularly love that if a tree is struggling or a bit Sick, they all pull together to send extra nutrients to that tree!

And so it got me thinking about the importance of community which was one of the most amazing things that living in a tiny town gave me! My goats - the most incredible bunch of women - really kept me going at times and provided me with so much fun and companionship!

We thrive in community! In fact, loneliness has been attributed to be worse for the health than smoking!

So perhaps the message today is about working on our connections and may be reaching out to those who perhaps we haven’t heard from them for a while to make sure that they’re okay!

BE MORE TREE! 🌳 by @itsmeronniet

Trust the process….be more tree! 🌳 (might change my name to Ronnie Tree!)

If can be so tempting to hold on tightly to things that no longer serve us…especially when we don’t know what comes next…but by letting go we create the space to allow the new in! Nature abhors a vacuum so if you can sit in the not knowing and just trust something will appear!

And if you’re currently in a situation where you’re needing to move on from something and are worried about letting go…get out in nature and be inspired by the trees! Each Autumn they let go and trust that come the spring they’ll be getting a whole new wardrobe of leaves!!!! 🍁

Whilst I’m excited to be where I am, and looking back on how far I’ve come, there are still so many questions around what comes next.…and thats what I am having to lean into and trust.

With big change comes so much resistance! After the packing and clearing out of my physical possessions comes the emotional clear-out. And it’s been challenging to sit with what needs to be let go of, then sit in the void, trusting in what will come next.

I’m learning that if I’m to sit with clients and hold space for their stuff, I have to keep learning to sit with my own too.

So often we hold on because we’re too afraid to let go and trust in the unknown. But that’s where the magic happens! ✨

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” — Alan Watts by @itsmeronniet

I’ve been a bit quiet on here of late. There’s just been so much change to navigate with moving, working, etc.,,,but I’m finally coming out the other side and feeling ready for this new chapter.

And very excitingly… (drum roll please) I’m now a fully qualified therapist! Woop Woop! After 8 years of studying my diploma arrived last week!!!! My little website is also now live, and I’m available for sessions in Queen’s Park or online.

This week at ADE really brought all my worlds together. Talking about our incredible new platform, NoiseOS, alongside amazing artists including Tinie Tempah and Fish56Octagon, and taking part in panels on sobriety and mental health.

When I started working with Ben and Nicky at @noisemusic.io , it was so important to me that mental health was as much a part of the conversation as our artists goals and aspirations. Seeing that woven through our work supporting emerging talent, alongside starting my own therapy practice, feels pretty special.

Feeling very grateful, very blessed, and excited for what’s ahead. Loving being able to sit at the crossroads of music and mental health - my 2 biggest passions!

Sending much love, and bring on the next chapter. xx by @itsmeronniet

Really happy to have had these peeps by my side today as we did the Think Tank for @bridgesformusic and the @thedailymeds_ discussing the importance of Who Pays for mental health solutions in the music industry?

Hearing stories on sobriety, awkwardness, and the things that need to change, and potential solutions for the future was inspiring.

Collectively deciding that we need more funding, more free therapy for artists, and a stronger community on this focus.

Huge thanks to Keri and Bridges for Music, and The Artotel for making this happen

First session at the Artoel done ✅️

Second session: off to host my first LIVE DOSE mediation joined by @barbaratuckersings tomorrow at the Andaz Hotel.

Admin kills more songs than critics.

This Wednesday @meetmeatthehotel.official , @Fish56Octagon and @tiniegram sit down with the NOISE crew for a live panel and Q&A on the stuff nobody puts in the press release: the admin load, building a career that lasts, and how to spend more time making music and less time drowning in spreadsheets.

Bring your questions. This is real time with people who’ve done it at the highest level.

You’ll also get a first look at the NOISEOS beta, the platform we’ve built to take that release admin off your plate. Sign up, tell us what you think, and you’ll get 6 months free when we launch.

For all you peeps who’ve asked me about @pathretreats the retreat I did almost 10 years ago which genuinely changed my life, this one’s for you ❤️

On 29th November we’re holding The Great Divide, a half day workshop which will give you a real taster of what the full Path of Love process is like. Facilitated by one of the founders, the amazing @rafiamorgan & the incredible @abigailiq

Many of you have heard me go on about Path at length 😂 but I kid you not, it’s one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever given myself. A week to switch off from the world, come back to yourself and experience something really quite special.

It’s also where I really learnt to re-connect with my body and discovered my love of movement and how powerful music and movement can be.

So if you’ve heard me banging on about Path for years and wondered what on earth I’m talking about, come and experience a little bit of it for yourself!

THE GREAT DIVIDE
📅 Sunday 29th November
⏰ 1pm to 5pm
📍 The Tabernacle, Notting Hill, London
❤️ Open to everyone

Sometimes the emotions we’re feeling aren’t necessarily giving us the full story.

I think we’re often in such a rush to move away from feelings that feel uncomfortable that we label them quickly and then try to distract ourselves from them.

This morning I sat down and started to feel what I thought was anxiety. But instead of rushing to distract myself from it, I just sat with it for a while. And I realised that actually, what I was feeling was excitement.

Excitement about my forthcoming move. Excitement about launching my new therapy website and beginning this next chapter of my career. Excitement about something very big we’re about to launch at Noise. And actually, just the physical feeling of excitement about not fully knowing what the road ahead looks like.

And it reminded me that perhaps sometimes we need to get a little more curious about what we’re feeling before deciding what it is. The feeling itself is real, but the first label we give it might not always tell us the whole story. Sometimes what feels like anger might have sadness sitting underneath it. Sometimes what feels like anxiety might actually contain excitement, anticipation or simply the uncertainty of something changing.

There’s actually research behind this too. Anxiety and excitement are both high-arousal states, which means they can feel surprisingly similar in the body. Research has found that reframing anxious arousal as excitement can help us shift from seeing something as a threat to seeing it as an opportunity.

So maybe the question isn’t always, “How do I get rid of this feeling?”

Maybe it’s, “What is this feeling actually trying to tell me?”

So slow down. Give the feeling a little space before you rush to label it, fix it or push it away. Sit with it. Feel it. Get curious about it.

You might just find it has something different to tell you. by @itsmeronniet

There’s a LOT on my mind at the moment. I’m starting to pack up my house ready for a big move out of Margate, waiting for my qualification to come through, getting ready to set myself up as a therapist AND about to launch something very exciting… so my brain is basically going at a million miles an hour. 🤯

This morning I was having a little dance around the living room and Fred kept desperately trying to join in. At first I was trying to shoo him away 😂 and then I thought… actually, maybe he’s reminding me of something.

Sometimes you need to stop overthinking everything and just be silly and have fun…whatever that looks like! We can be so in our heads worrying about what everything looks like and miss the little moment of joy…like dancing with your dog!

So, as it’s Monday and probably prime overthinking territory… this is your reminder to get out of your head, put your favourite song on and have a dance.

With your dog. Your cat. Or just yourself. ❤️ by @itsmeronniet
