Had an absolute dream of a week recording, writing, playing, and laughing with my brother @jakewesleyrogers and the singular @sirgregwells at an old wooden church in a remote fishing village in Newfoundland, Canada. The life of a noisemaker is one of extreme ups and downs - this week for me was the top of the mountain. Hope you all continue to listen to your instincts and lean into darkness. by @itsmikemiller

I made this for you with care and intention. I hope it brings a little joy this Christmas.

A generous serving of love to all the people that contributed:

- The timeless Robyn Collins helped me write it @rbcwrites
- The genius Mattia Chiappa helped orchestra it @mattia_chiappa
- The adept Alex Heffron played guitar @hefftunes
- The exceptional Aksel Coe played drums @akselcoedrums
- The singular Rachel Beauregard sang harmonies @rachelbeauregard
- The thoughtful Austin Stanley mixed it @austinstanleymusic

Story time with Uncle Mike:
I tend to stay away from social media for many reasons, however I thought this was worth sharing for anyone out there struggling to accept their vocation.
I met @thisisvo during a season in my life that was radically shifting. I had spent decades pursuing the dreams of my childhood and deep in the locked basement of my soul, I was becoming aware that those “dreams” were based on a false sense of self - I was becoming an unhealthy version of myself trying to keep them alive.
Vo called me and said he had an idea for a song unlike anything I had ever made. For the next month I poured myself into his vision. I spent days searching for the right sounds and colors. I remember crying when everything clicked. I felt truth.
This song was the catalyst that helped put me on the path of letting go of my false self.
Once it was finished, it sat in our computer for two LONG years.
One day I get a call from Vo saying he is teaming up with the Tampa Bay Lightning to help create their opening number… the rest is history.
If the narrative of your life is no longer serving you, be brave, leave the cave, walk out into the night and start clearing a new path. You have no idea what is even possible. by @itsmikemiller

Huge thank you to the Tampa Bay Lighting for using a song I wrote/produced/mixed as the theme for the 2021 NHL Playoffs.

Incredible work by the GREAT @thisisvo for manifesting this song and carrying the torch into the darkness. I could not be more grateful for your presence in my life. You are peerless.
