POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I remember how I felt when I turned 18. Boy did I think I was grown. If I couldn’t do much, I could vote & with that, you couldn’t tell me nothing .

I always imagined how proud mom would feel the day that she would call out all the ages of her “grown” kids & the day she would say “ yeah my son is 18 and my daughter is … (yeah don’t worry about it ) “

Then 484 days ago, life changed and that imagination could only ever be a wish.

• 484 consecutive days of memories full of laughter, sadness and tears flying through my mind .

• 484 days of waiting for you to come through my door and say the dumbest thing.

• 484 days of closing my eyes and praying that was the night I’d see you in a dream then wake up feeling like someone gutted my chest because that’s the only place I’ll ever get to see you .

• 484 days of sadness but still laughing and hanging onto the joy of the Lord.

• 484 days of closing my eyes in concentration to hear the sound of your voice again to make sure I never forget it.

• 484 days of wishing we could go back to life we called normal; with the people we once called family.

• 484 days of rehearsing what I could have done different.

•484 days of selfishly wishing it was me instead.

Mannnnn so much I want to tell you .. SO many things that remind me of you.

I know heaven is lucky to have you.

Even though I’ll have to remember you longer than I ever knew you . I pray your memory outlives us all.

My big little brother
