(1/2) This video was so difficult to make, which is why it took me a month to finally put it together and post it.

For those who don’t know, two days after our house fire, on July 15, 2026, my precious baby Dakota was violently attacked and killed.

I have spent the last month trying to process it and make sense of it all. And the truth is, none of this makes sense at all. My sweet, innocent baby did not deserve this.

Anyone who knew Dakota knew she was a ball of energy, positivity and LOVE. 🤍 She gave everyone she encountered unconditional love and cuddles. Her fur friends loved playing with her, and her family loved the energy she brought into every room she entered. She was chaotic, stubborn, hilarious, affectionate and so unbelievably full of life.

I raised Dakota from just a couple weeks old in 2021 until her very last day. We experienced so much life together. She struggled with me. She traveled with me. She went on hikes and adventures with me. She cuddled with me through heartbreak, change, uncertainty and some of the hardest moments of my life.

She was my life partner in more ways than anyone could ever understand.

Losing her broke my heart into pieces that I’m not sure will ever fully heal.

Mommy’s pretty baby. My DookieButt. My sweet girl. 🤍

Thank you for allowing me to love you, cherish you and experience this life with you. You helped me survive some of my darkest times, and I know I was just as much your emotional support human as you were my emotional support pet lol. We really were just two emotionally dependent girls trying to figure life out together. 😂🤍

I know you are loved wherever you are. I know my dad is up there watching over you and giving you endless kisses and cuddles until I’m able to do it myself again one day. I hope you found him, Kota. I hope somehow you knew exactly who he was when you saw him.

It feels so wrong that life keeps moving when you aren’t here to experience it with me. There are still moments when I can’t understand how I’m supposed to keep going and build a new life that doesn’t physically have you in it. by @itsmoecuh
