This Easter I was blessed with the privilege of receiving the Holy Spirit into my heart both spiritually and physically through the sacrament of baptism

Since today is such a monumental day in my life I'm going to take it as an opportunity to share my story of how I ended up here today

I grew up mostly non-denominational with the exception of southern Baptist influence from my father's side of the family and one year of catholic school, but in general a relationship with Jesus was not something I considered myself to have. Once I started middle school and especially when covid hit I began to experience mental health issues and my overall happiness was the lowest it had been and all 3 of those years were by far the hardest of my life. Throughout that time I resented God because in my head it didn't make sense why a God that loved me so much would allow me to feel so much pain. Once I started highschool something within me yearned for a relationship with God and since Saint E's is so close to my house, and I've experienced the catholic church before I decided to go. And nothing would have ever prepared me for the amount of love I felt being in there so I kept going back. I went for 2 years before I decided to convert to catholicism because I had been waiting for that love I felt to go away and it never did and that was enough for me. And after a year of preparing and going through conversion I am happy to say that

I am now a fully converted and confirmed catholic 🤍 by @itsnevilynn
