Moments of creativity are often inspired by lived experiences.

It’s what makes them valuable. It’s why creative projects deserve to be protected.

In conversation with @itsnickbrewer (Part 2 of 3)

(1/3) “Growing up and starting to take music seriously as a career in many ways felt like the dream. But it also changed the relationship that I had with songwriting.

Because it’s like ‘Okay now this is what I want to pay my bills’...”

We spoke to @itsnickbrewer about his career, inspirations for his music and the real value of creativity.

The fun, messy (and sometimes emotional) journey of human creativity is a process that deserves to be protected.

These are real stories from real creatives.

GRIME NOT GALLAGHER out now in your local HMV

Tell your uncle or aunt, the one who keeps telling you they grew up in the 90s without mobile phones where you’d knock for your friends and leave your BMXs in the front yard. They’ll love this.

Another 90 minute Bobby Baker session.
Writing lyrics on the spot will have you ending up in random destinations 😅 this one is about trying to protect my daughter but realising there’s only so much I can do to protect her. My parents did a great job at protecting me but obviously not all situations are under their control. A house burglary when I was young affected my sleep for many years, thank God he freed me from that. Ultimately I all I can do is trust that God will be ‘a very present help in times of trouble’. by @itsnickbrewer
