My work for @vinylmoonco is finally out and I’m so excited to share my actual magnum opus. If you’ve been sleeping on Vinyl Moon and aren’t familiar, they create monthly “mixtapes” on vinyl and I was asked to do the cover art for vol. 105 🔥 which happens to have a killer track list 👀 The visuals ooze nostalgia, interwoven with very intentional storytelling (that I’ll dive a little deeper into at a later time) because you know me, I’ll turn anything into a multilayered art project if given the chance lol. Let this be a warning that I’ll be talking about this one until the cows come home, ‘till the rats take the cheese, ‘till the street lights come on, ‘till the turntable stops turnin’, baby! 🤠🐀 If you’re interested in getting one, they’re available now at vinylmoon.co 🖤 #albumcoverart #indiemusicartist #vinyljunkie #retrotoys #nostalgiacore #vinylrecordcollection #rodeorat #adventurestory by @itsnotthatweird

@adobe MAX 2024 was surreal ❤️ Somewhere between getting invited to the Community Summit for a pre-MAX kickoff, exhibiting for 3 days at my very own booth, and having my work on merch in the official MAX Marketplace, I lost all sense of reality and my heart turned into a soupy emo stew. I saw old pals, made new ones, and got to meet some of the people that have been an inspiration since I started my career. All it took was a few anchor points, a dream, and non-stop work for a decade 😅 I’m so grateful for anyone that stopped by my booth and grabbed something or said some encouraging words. And thank you to every person at @adobe who, for some reason, see something in me that keeps getting me slipped into these crazy cool spaces and on wildly sick projects. 💖 #adobemax #adobemaxmarketplace #adobeillustrator #freelanceillustrator #illustratorsoninstagram #printmakersofinstagram by @itsnotthatweird

Pattern design for @enohammocks x @outdoorfoundation 🤯🫨😮‍💨 I can’t believe I haven’t made a post about this one yet! I’ve been a long time fan of the brand ENO so when they reached out about commissioning a pattern illustration for one of their hammocks I simply died. I died and went to heaven, grabbed my apple pencil and came back to earth to draw my LARGEST illustration to date. This is for their In Good Company Giving Back collection where part of the sale of this design goes to Outdoor Foundation in support of their mission to inspire the next generation of diverse outdoor enthusiasts. I was asked to illustrate all the different ways people can enjoy the outdoors because enjoying nature doesn’t have to only be on a backpacking trip through the wilderness. Like many people, being outside is what gives me life so I’m all for the mission and the product (although unfortunately I’m a freak that gets motion sickness from a goddamn hammock but I like seeing other people enjoy hammocks 🥲) Anyway, scroll through to see all the spot illos that puzzle piece together to make the most massive illustration known to man 😁 Pssst can you find the strawberry easter egg? 🤭 📷: ENO by @itsnotthatweird
Rainy day in the studio 🌧️ I do in fact love a Florida summer thunderstorm 🥹 by @itsnotthatweird
Before there’s a table full of merch there’s a whole lot of grumpily making things and pacing around my studio 😅 Hi! Remember me? No? That’s fine! Just be lullabied by chaotic art making and the chugging of a Risograph machine. I always start documenting my process with the best intentions but it never ends up comes together so here’s a mishmash of what I get up to that I’m so very bad at sharing. When all else fails, make a montage ✨ But if you want more background, I’m Carly, I’m a freelance illustrator, design, and printmaker based in Tallahassee, Florida. I’m usually on a screen for client projects for folks like Netflix, Adobe, ENO, and plenty of lovely and feisty small potatoes, but I also make a bunch of stuff for pop-ups and wholesale. Mostly drawing, lots of Riso, not enough screen printing, indulging in painting or sculpting occasionally, getting enamel pins and stickers made, and plenty of folding and stapling zines into the wee hours. The INTW universe is inspired by 90’s cartoons, American traditional tattoos, sci-fi and campy horror films, pop culture of various eras, and vintage ephemera. Also yes, I wear the same thing a lot but I’m self employed, Florida is sweaty, and all my clothes get ink on them eventually. 🤸 by @itsnotthatweird
🎨 Meet the artist behind our Florida Wildlife Corridor Tee @itsnotthatweird 🧡 Carly Berry is an illustrator and printmaker based in north Florida. Vintage ephemera, American traditional tattoos, and oddities in nature inspire her work. Her design celebrates the incredible diversity of Florida’s wild places. Different colors represent different habitats, from coastal mangroves and cypress swamps to pine flatwoods, scrub, and prairie. 🌴 This tee is part of a collection done in collaboration with @archboldstation. Archbold does incredible work in the state, raising awareness about the threats facing this beautiful place. by @itsnotthatweird
New tshirt design for @birdcollective 🪶 celebrating wild Florida and highlighting the work of @archboldstation *crying screaming throwing up* The bio diversity in Florida is nuts and it’s often overlooked by people outside of the U.S. southeast so I couldn’t be more stoked to be apart of this FL collection! I love the nature here so much and am constantly putting references to it in my work so being able to illustrate so many native species of flora and fauna was a dream. Also a challenge as someone who doesn’t usually aim for accuracy 😅 The folks at Bird Collective summed it up beautifully: “Celebrate the incredible diversity of Florida’s wild places with this ecosystem-inspired graphic tee. Different colors represents a different habitats, from coastal mangroves and cypress swamps to pine flatwoods, scrub and prairie. Featuring iconic wildlife like the Roseate Spoonbill, Florida Panther, American Alligator, Gopher Tortoise, Red-cockaded Woodpecker, and more, the artwork highlights the rich connections between species and the importance of large landscapes.” (2nd photo by Bird Collective) KEEP FLORIDA WILD ✌️ by @itsnotthatweird
If you would have told me just a couple weeks ago that I would be yammering on stage at @creativeworks in Seattle for a crowd of incredibly kind and creative people, I would have told you “interesting, now leave me alone” but here we are! It happened! And it was actually a blast?? I met and hung out with so many fun and cool people, it all feels like a dream. Endless gratitude to @futurejosh for the trust and encouragement and the whole CWW crew for all the hard work and kindness. I’m fully spoiled by such a stellar group and sharing a stage (and vendor hall) with design industry icons still has me like 👁️👄👁️ like, I should not have been there but I’m stoked that I was! by @itsnotthatweird
