My house was too quiet and sad after Opie & Ollie passed. With winter break coming, I started to think it was either now or summer to bring home a new bun. I began looking around online and saving adorable photos of available buns just for fun. There was one specifically I found myself thinking of more and more. Keeping with the O names, the name Ozzy quickly came to mind and it just clicked. I knew he was the one!

The best way to start a 2 week winter break! Little Ozzy was worth every second of our ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home’ trip. I can’t wait for more adventures with this sweet boy🐰🖤

Last Saturday, Ollie passed away peacefully in my arms. He was doing great but suddenly took a turn for the worst. He was the one thing that could always make me feel better, and without him I feel lost. Snuggle your fur babies extra long tonight.

I am beyond grateful for all of the love and support that’s been sent my way. Not everyone understands the bond between a bun and their human. If you’ve been checking in on me, thank you. I love my people so much.

We’ve been busy recovering! We’re about 15% better but our @oxbowanimalhealth critical care supplement finally got delivered yesterday!

Got more info from our favorite vet at @alohaanimal yesterday. Vestibular disease can be caused by a variety of things, like an inner ear infection, parasite, or stroke. We don’t know yet what caused it in his case, but he’s taking daily meds that will help eliminate any infections or parasites he may have. It’ll be a slow and long recovery but we will know more once we see how he’s progressing! He has a huge appetite and is eating a lot which is a great sign. Eat, sleep, clean, repeat! by @itsozzyboy

And just like that, both of our daily routines and habits will forever be changed. On Thursday afternoon Ollie was found extensively rolling/stumbling, unable to find his balance, so I immediately held him down on his side. He had involuntary rhythmic eye movement since his body did not know which way was up. He was rushed to the vet and they were able to stabilize him within a few hours. He was diagnosed with vestibular disease, also known as Head Tilt.

I am thankful for the accounts dedicated to sharing their bun’s journey with this disease. I am learning so much and I will strive to do the same🤎
