In a wild story reported by my friends at @fox13memphis a couple attempted to steal a property from a family where a family member was living who is now deceased.

They used a quit claim deed to do it.

We’ve become incredibly good at collecting professional connections.

But how many of those connections ever become actual conversations?

And how many potentially valuable relationships never develop because our primary ways of interacting are posts, comments, likes, and DMs?

I’ve been thinking a lot about whether there’s room for something more human in professional networking especially as AI becomes increasingly embedded in the content we read and write.

Imagine having a simple place to join live professional conversations with people across your network — around industries, careers, entrepreneurship, ideas, opportunities, and shared interests and then continue those relationships beyond the conversation.

No creator economy.
No chasing followers.
No performing for an algorithm.

Just professionals talking with professionals.

Too many small business owners do not choose predatory capital because it is better.

They choose it because it is faster, louder, simpler, and easier to find in a moment of pressure.

That should challenge every CDFI, community lender, and capital provider.

If mission-driven capital is going to truly compete, it cannot just be cheaper or more ethical on paper. It has to be visible, responsive, and built for urgency.

In this piece, I break down what CDFIs should learn from predatory lenders operationally — without copying the harm.

Because the goal is not to become more predatory.

The goal is to make fair capital easier to reach before the wrong capital gets there first.

My guy Bawse turned 9 earlier, however today 9 years ago was when I woke up in the morning….

My wife and daughters mega excited….

I was driving to just outside Murfreesboro, TN to the breeder to pick up Bawse.

He came right up to me lol.

He’s been family ever since mane. My dawg as my wife says especially if he gets into trouble 🙄😂
