Almost 2 years ago, I met @soa.kwon when I was relaxing in a park near Hongdae on my first trip to Korea. Fast Forward to 2025 and we are both shining! I’m so excited to announce my K-pop comeback on @arirangworld with @itsyoungminnie by my side and celebrating the journey we’ve been on for the past 4 years! This next single was first created in 2021, and it’s finally ready to be released to the world March 4th!! Higgsfield Filmmaker Grant: Why I Want It: I am absolutely terrified to make this post. It’s painfully clear how the majority of the creative industry feels about Gen AI, but I can’t hide it anymore: AI changed my life. I’m getting married thanks to the help of AI. I got a job thanks to the help of AI. And now, I get to bring my wildest imaginations to the screen without a million dollars backing me. Honestly, this is what freedom feels like, and I’m ready to be proud of the work that I can do now thanks to the help of AI. The world of CloudFall is actually a part of the ROUGIEVERSE, but just an expansion from the other side. At first, I was flooded with anxiety about attaching my name and brand to AI because I didn’t want for all of the hard work that I’ve done over the years to be flattened by public perception, but I realized that because of AI The ROUGIEVERSE can thrive! I want to make video games, a TV Show, and movies all involving the growing cast of characters in the ROUGIEVERSE. I want to explore the lore, collaborate with ROUGIES to expand it even further, and without AI, I would be waiting for years if not forever to make even the first step happen. I am proud to introduce you to the other side of the ROUGIEVERSE through this short film I created in LESS THAN 24 HOURS because @higgsfield.ai decided to be crazy and let creators run wild… well I hope I put those credits to good use. I feel like my entire K-Pop journey has led to this moment. I want to be a part of the K-Pop Demon Hunters series SO BAD. I learned Korean, made history as the first black man in K-Pop, became a professional actor and was on one of the only live-action K-Pop shows to exist in the West. I’ve worked with producers that have made music with SHINee, NCT 127, IVE, BTS, SEVENTEEN, and more. I’ve worked SO HARD, and watching this movie it brought me back to why I love K-Pop so much - it’s larger than life, and it’s something that brings hope to those that feel lost. K-Pop has finally crossed over in the biggest way possible, and it’s a goal of mine to bridge the gap between the West and the East. I’m going to keep working hard to make my dreams happen, and one of them is to be in K-Pop Demon Hunters. Let’s see if we can make this a reality.
