Think of your services as a fairytale…

Stay with me here. The whole point of fairytales is so that we can learn important life lessons by seeing themselves in the characters when we're young. You need to do that with storytelling for business 👇🏼

Humans are emotional beings, simply listing your deliverables WON’T create an emotional reaction or connection to your services.

Try these three things instead…

🖤 Talk about past clients, what was the problem you solved for them and how has it benefitted them

🖤 Address their pain points directly and break down how your service tackles them.

🖤 Instead of selling your services by listing your deliverables, sell the emotions your ideal client would feel if they worked with you. For example, instead of saying "This website design package includes a 5 page Showit site, X layout etc.", emphasise the confidence they'll feel when they have a professional website to send potential clients to, talk about how their dreeeeam clients will be able to find them through Google because of your killer SEO.

If you talk about the emotional benefit of your services or speak to the pain points your services will solve, your ideal clients will be able to see themselves in your post just like we used to see ourselves in fairytales!

Your content needs to allow them to see themselves at the point they WANT to be at instead of just focusing in on where they are right now (stressed, diy-ing, overwhelmed).

stop saying this in your content 👇🏻

"Want a new website? I offer websites built on X platform with X pages and X layout... etc."

Your ideal clients don't care.. in fact they've already scrolled away 🫠 Yes this info is important and yes it will be included in your caption/sales page BUT it definitely shouldn't be your hook because they don't care about nitty gritty details..

You need to sell them the big picture ✨ like how they'll be able to show up online with confidence because their website looks professionally af or how many more bookings/sales they'll get because their website is set up strategically!

You know what i'm saying? When I sell my services (i'm a social media manager for female creatives) i talk about the relief you will feel knowing that your social media is taken care of not about the technicalities of how I will design your reels, ya know?

I know you probably just rolled your eyes but it's the truth.. if you're just posting random reels of your client projects, a branding tip reel that you saw performed really well for somebody else and then a trend you've seen all your fellow designers post... then you need a strategy because although those aren't BAD individually — they're not going to funnel your audience towards your offers!

content strategy will vary based on WHO you're trying to target, WHAT they are struggling with and whether they're aware of WHY they're struggling with it, HOW you can help them and SO MUCH MORE 🫠

it's a super unique formula that you need to spend some time putting together 👇🏻

1️⃣ You need your hook content to stop people in their scroll and bring them into your world

2️⃣ Nurture them with your 'warm-up' content. This is where you need to build trust and a connection

3️⃣ CTA content that will inspire action and get your warm leads to take that next step into your DMs
