Over a month ago, we said goodbye to our sweet boy, Zeus. Zeus was around 13 years old.

Zeus was and will always be family to us. We got him at a rescue in 2013 and Zeus was a light and comfort to all of us :) It is no doubt in my mind that he was a gift sent from God. Zeus’s love and compassion never wavered. He was a big boy who loved to plop down wherever he pleased and checked up on everyone.

To me, Zeus was my first best friend. I always called him “beautiful boy” because that’s who he is in my eyes. From the moment I saw him we connected, I put my hand on the cage and he placed his paw against it. Years went on, and Zeus and I continued to grow older together. I met him as a child and said goodbye to him as an adult. Although it’s been a while now, I do still miss him
He used to sleep in my room with me at night and wake me up at 6:30 am to let him out. I will cherish how he used to claw at my door and all the times we ate watermelon together. He was truly the bestest boy and I am so blessed to have been there his whole life.
