If I go quiet, understand that sometimes I’m fighting battles I’ll never speak of.

If I seem distant, it’s not always because I feel nothing; sometimes I feel too much, and I no longer trust what happens when I do.

I want to love in ways I’ve forgotten how to.

But you must understand.

My dad and his two Canadian Friends Stewart and Steve who he met at the hospital before his surgery this past week.

Was all happy talking to one of them who happened to own a property down in Costa Rica near his hometown.

I'm so happy both surgeries went well and he's out of the hospital today.

Not a single day has come to pass that I don't receive a text from him, at 5 am, telling me he loves me along side a bible verse that he personally highlights for me to read.

Even while convalescing post surgery, I did not miss a single text from him.

I'm so blessed to have him as a dad, and hope that those 5 am messages never stop coming. by @itsserpico

It’s the quiet weight of loving an echo.

Something about black and white photography and red eyes that have always appealed to me.

So many things have changed since British Columbia 7 years ago when I took this photo.

So many things have changed since Calgary 16 years ago.

Ive been in love, its painful its pointless and its over rated.

And over the years I've come learned that the best way to not get your heart broken, is to pretend that you don't have one.

But I hate this person that I became.

Its just that, when people see good they expect good.

And I just don't want to live to anyone's expectations.

People call me heartless and arrogant but theres only one person who can make me feel otherwise.

No matter how many come, Noone can fill the space of the one who's gone.

Because I'm not human, and I miss it more than anything in the world. But theres only so much hurt that a man can take.

What do you do when the one who broke your heart, is the only one who can fix it?
