The return of the red tier to SLO County has brought back the EPIC Shalimar buffet, and I couldn't be happier about it!!
Their chicken tikka masala and homemade naan bread are the stuff dreams are made of!!
You can try almost everything on the menu during their lunch buffet for only $11.99 from 11:30AM-2:45PM! They have safe social-distancing measures in place - they serve you from the buffet, while you choose your options.

Shamelessly using this tantalizing plate of carnitas nachos with @kacey.cakes vegan queso to share with you about my new favorite local food delivery service - @harvestly.co!
Before this pandemic hit, one of my favorite SLO pastimes was heading downtown for the Thursday night Farmer's Market! For locals, farmers, small businesses, and visitors alike, our Farmer's Market was a source of connection and community pride. Of all the events that have been cancelled this past year, this is the one I miss the most.
Enter @harvestly.co! Harvestly has created an online app and hub to bring us back together and provide the essence of Farmer's Market, delivered directly to your home!
All of your favorite Farmer's Market vendors and products are available for purchase, along with new ones being added weekly! While some may consider tacos without tortillas a sacrilege, I am over here on day 10 of Whole 30 thanking the good Lord above for this heavenly gift!🌮
@taqueria805 delivers allllll the flavor you could ever ask or imagine with their incredible carnitas🐷, pollo🐔, asada🐮, and pastor! I ordered one of each, on a bed of red cabbage, topped with grilled veggies, onions, cilantro, and salsa!😍
The total cost was $12 for 4 tacos.🤑

Light, fluffy spun sugar atop coffee, tea, & cocoa is the newest craze to hit the cafe scene in Downtown SLO! You need look no further than @activecoffeeco in The Creamery for this delightful sweet treat!
Active Coffee Co. launched it's soft opening on Friday, September 18th & is warmly welcoming customers to come enjoy their delicious food & beverage offerings daily, from 8AM-9PM.
In addition to their Cloud (spun sugar) concoctions, & a full menu of classic cafe beverages, featuring @coavacoffee, they also offer delicious sweet & savory baked goods, by @seabreezecupcakes & homemade overnight oats. Furthermore, I was thoroughly delighted to find they l offer to-go portions of my absolute favorite salad on the face of the planet - the incomparable @misturarestaurant De Mi Tierra quinoa salad!

Only a few days left to try this August Special of peach toast with vanilla mascarpone, honey-roasted peaches & almonds, served with bourbon syrup!🍑
Also, how gorgeous is the latte art in that Oatmilk Latte, made with @cacticoffeeroasters coffee!?☕️

Just when I thought the local food offerings in @downtownslo couldn't get any better, @mintandcraft went and launched their special Mint n' Curry menu, coming in 🔥hot🔥, every Thursday - Saturday, from 5-8PM!
Featuring South Asian flavors & flare, this exclusive menu brings back past customer-favorites from @mintandcraft's sister restaurant @robins_restaurant in Cambria, along with some new curries that will quickly become future customer-favorites!
Curry choices include: North Indian Lamb, Indonesian Beef, Pork & Potato Vindaloo, Sri Lankan Chicken, and Yellow Split Pea Dal, served in either a Bowl🥘 or Burrito🌯!
I chose the deletable Sri Lankan Chicken Bowl, which was absolutely bursting with flavors from the lemongrass, cinnamon, tomatoes, curry leaves, and coconut milk! The Bowls are served over Basmati rice, with three types of vegetables, mint chutney, and raita (a vibrant beet & yoghurt sauce that neatly balances the spiciness of the curry.)⚖️
I was delighted to find freshly stocked @missteaberry Halos in Mint + Craft's dessert repertoire and throughly enjoyed one of their guilt-free donuts with a delicious @cacticoffeeroasters decaf oat milk latte.🍩☕️
Price-wise, the Bowls range from $13-18 and the Burritos range from $8-13.
