Planning trips, being on my phone, loving travel, wanting more for my life and surrounding myself with people who want to grow.

When I realised that, I said yes to an opportunity that allowed me to actually earn from things I was already doing and traits I already had or wanted to develop further.

This just might be your sign.

This January, I started my business with no real idea how much it would change my life. The people I’ve met, the growth I’ve experienced, and the shifts in my life financially and personally have been incredible in ways I never expected.

Doing all of this in my first year of university gave me a level of drive I didn’t even know I had. It taught me that your dreams and goals aren’t as far away as they feel in your head , sometimes they’re just waiting for you to start.

If you take anything away from this post, let it be this: go after that thing in 2026. Trust yourself enough to begin, stay consistent, and make it yours.

Girl to girl, life gets busy.

Over the past month I’ve been deep in university exam season, and it’s made me even more grateful for having income streams that don’t rely on me constantly trading my time for money.

While my focus was on studying, I was still getting paid for work I’d already done. A few years ago, I remember having to leave a job because getting time off for exams became a problem. Now I’m in a position where I don’t have to choose between building my future and an income.

That’s why I believe everyone deserves to have options. Not because one income stream is bad, but because life happens. Exams, family, travel, opportunities, unexpected challenges… having something working in the background can make a huge difference.

If we haven’t met already, I’m Subomi, a 20 year old student building her dream life before graduation.

Last year I did something I wasn’t fully “ready” for but I did it anyways. I was in my first year, my income was up and down and I didn’t really have everything figured out, I just went for it.

It’s normalised to talk the talk but rare to actually put action behind those big dreams and the change we say we want. Some life lessons you only learn through doing.

So when I came across an online opportunity that would allow me to earn through the travel industry, I had to ask myself am I going to keep saying it or actually do something about it?

“Doing it alone got me started. Doing it together changed everything.”

Take a glimpse into our lives. We’re all doing different things and most of us are “busy” students, full-time workers, apprentices, people building this alongside everything else going on in life.

It’s not because we suddenly had more time. It’s because we decided we wanted more and thought why wait to build it?

So what makes you think you’re too young, too busy, or underqualified? Every single person here could’ve had those same thoughts so what’s different?

The difference is something clicked for them, and instead of ignoring it, they acted on it.

Now they’re building something alongside their everyday lives, creating more for themselves without dropping everything they already do.

At some point, you either stay where you are… or you move.

a year ago, i decided to change my situation.
i was 19, a student, and i just knew from early on that i wanted more.
more freedom, more options, more life than just waiting for the next payday.
i didn’t have everything figured out, but i knew i couldn’t stay the same.
