#TestimonyTuesday [SWIPE]. “Every behavior change comes from a desire to avoid something or obtain something." I heard you say this and I had been struggling with maintaining passion in my major, Biology. ———————————————————————————-I started thinking "I need to make this change out of biology!"; I want to avoid going through college to start a career that I have no connection with anymore, I want to start a journey of passion and purpose! ———————————————————-I had the change-of-major paper sitting on my desk and the next week. Your words inspired and convicted me to know better, do better and DO MORE!———————————————————- I am now a mathematics major and I love it! 🙌🏾I want to be known in the world as a educator that leaves her students leave different than how they came. It’s time to go deeper than self-care!

I had the pleasure of speaking with @Fox2Now News to discuss my take on selfcare, a concept I call soul care.

Soul- care is an intentional ongoing lifestyle practice that focuses on strengthening your mind, will & emotions.

Life is full of ups and downs and according to the American Institute of Stress, 55% of Americans are experiencing stress during the day.

We usually respond to stress via self care; often taking care of how we FEEL INTERNALLY with an EXTERNAL SOLUTION, ie. a massage or something that focuses only on the body.

The approach I use with my clients and in my training programs is to FLIP YOUR STRATEGY by making sure that you’re taking care of how you FEEL INTERNALLY with an INTERNAL SOLUTION, like feeding your mind intentionally each day with good thoughts; that’s soul care!

Partnerships are vital when it comes to investing in our youth.
We had some AMAZING PARTNERS show up this summer!

Thank you @itstiffanyjones ! For leading our youth in social, mental, and emotional wellness! Our youth need to navigate their social anxieties and mental and emotional wellbeing. Tiffany gave meaningful information and tools our youth can glean from throughout their school years!

Thank you @homeswithsimone! For teaching our youth via your NEW BOOK-“Utopian Real Estate for Teens and Young Adults”. This book is centered around helping students understand that real estate isn’t just about buying a house, it’s about opportunity, ownership, and making intentional decisions about their future. Our youth were introduced to concepts like credit, income, and financial responsibility in a way that is simple, relatable, and age-appropriate.

Another milestone accomplished! 🎉🎉🙌🏾

I wrapped up delivering my Holistic Wellness Curriculum through a summer camp and youth workforce development program, expanding my reach & creating a version specifically designed for middle and high school students for the very first time.🙌🏾

I’m grateful for every opportunity to equip the next generation to thrive—not just academically, but mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
