First time celebrating Nigeria’s Independence Day in America and I can’t wait to see how Nigerians abroad celebrate our day compared to back home🇳🇬🇺🇸

Going to be in the Lagos capital of America Houston, Texas throughout the weekend of October 2-4th with @energyzerkoncepts but before we leave I’m having a celebration on Independence Day itself with @dndsocialgroup at the @wilddaysdc rooftop🥳

Can’t wait to enjoy the weekend and celebrate with my fellow Nigerians and those of you who love us too😅

Guests, DJs, photographer… everybody gets a check-in. 😂 There’s a whole lot of hosting before I touch those decks. I’ve to make sure my people are good.

S/o to my guy @dja.y_ for holding the decks a little longer.

One of those real DJ booth moments. 😂🎧

This was at the Asake Concert After Party. Me and @dja.y_ are in the booth catching a vibe, @bigsmart__ is on the mic doing what he does best, bringing the energy, everybody is locked in…

Then out of nowhere the USB cable fails and the music disconnects. 😭🙄

That’s the part of DJing people don’t always get to see.

Sometimes the music stopping has nothing to do with the DJ making a mistake. Cables fail. Equipments act up. Technology does what technology does. And when you’re responsible for the energy in a room full of people, there’s no time to panic.

Stay composed. Figure out what happened. Find the solution. Get the music back on. Keep moving.

I wanted to share the whole moment instead of cutting out the part where things went wrong because this is DJing too. The great moments, the pressure, the unexpected problems and how you respond to them.

And special shoutout to @sirben_ske ! My guy had already been through a tough night working this event, so seeing him back there dancing, smiling and catching a vibe with us made this clip even better. 🤝🏾 big s/o @jinospinz u don too Dey hype me calm down o 😂

The booth isn’t always perfect.

But the energy can still be real. ⚡️
