The most wonderful relaxing weekend celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Apart from some last minute work and urgent sign offs over breakfast Friday morning, we managed to totally switch off and feel like ‘just us’ again!

Thanks to all the great team at @christchurch.harbourhotel @harbour_hotels for looking after us and feeding us with incredible food at @upperdeckchristchurch and @jettymudeford 😍

And of course Thanks to the great team at @motorcare.stu for running the show and of course to friends and family for looking after the kids and Dino 🐾 so we could escape to our favourite place 🥂 by @itstracylock

Twenty years of marriage isn’t just twenty anniversaries.

It’s pregnancies and births, babies and teenagers, bodies changing, businesses, money, homes, family crises, illness, arguments, fucking dogs 😂, growing up together and becoming completely different people several times over.

It’s loving each other and occasionally not liking each other very much. It’s getting things spectacularly right and spectacularly wrong. It’s carrying each other at different times, losing sight of each other sometimes, then finding our way back.

We were so bloody young when we started all of this. We couldn’t possibly have known what life would throw at us, or who we would become along the way.

Twenty years married. Twenty-two years together. A whole life built between us. Not perfect. Not always easy. Definitely not boring. But ours.

And after everything, I’d still choose you to do life with.

Happy 20th wedding anniversary to us. ❤️

Here’s to whatever the next twenty years decide to throw at us… although no more fucking dogs and definitely no more children. 😂🥂 by @itstracylock

I went quiet on here for a good while. Not because I ran out of things to say, but because I had zero capacity for anything else. Running Motorcare and being properly present for my family took the wheel, and that was absolutely the right call.

While I was ‘away,’ I kept using AI to deal with the parts of running a business that nobody enjoys, the admin, the bookkeeping, the HR paperwork, onboarding a new team member, all of it. Some of it I built into proper little systems. None of it was dramatic, but it added up, and it’s the reason fifteen hours a week running this place is genuinely possible rather than something I say to sound impressive.

I’m easing back into talking about this side of things, not with a big relaunch, just honestly. If you’re a business owner who’s heard the AI noise and has no idea where to actually start, or you’re just curious what ‘using AI for admin’ even looks like day to day, ask me. I’ll tell you simply and straight.

You would be 16 years old today Sonny!

I say it every year, It doesn’t get easier on this day ever! Every year I have more questions, which I allow myself to dwell on this day knowing full well I will never have the answers 😢 it’s more of an exercise to feel the emotions and release them for my bodies sake.

I wonder what you be like now? Fearless like Ella? Strong willed like Evelyn?

𝓦𝓮 𝓛𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓷𝔂 💕

For many reasons unknown you were coming out early
I could still feel you kicking, you were going to make it surely?
With all the will and hope in the world we decided to just let go and knew,
That you were too small to make it out safely and pull through!

Im sorry sweetheart I didn’t hold you tight and look at your tiny little face,
I felt with all my heart that your soul had floated off to a better place.
Something took over me that day and made me strong, calm and centered,
Ready for the new life that you had left and we had entered.

You are the reason that Mummy and Daddy are stronger than ever today,
You are the reason we feel connected to our lives in every single way
Your entrance into the world was certainly not in vain or fateful
And so to you my little Angel we are truly grateful!

Mother’s Day

Not the fluffy, filtered, Instagram kind 🍭

The real kind 😎

The kind where I’m not trying to be your best mate.

I’m here to raise women who know who they are, stand tall in it, and won’t get steamrolled by a world that wants them small, scared, and compliant.

I’m the mirror, the challenger, the mindset flipper.

I’ll call you out and hold space when it matters.

You’ll get love from me, but not the sugar coated kind. The kind that helps you grow.

The kind that sharpens you.

We’ve had the chaos, tears, tantrums, truth bombs, eye-rolls (Evelyn’s favourite new thing to do! 😆), and breakthroughs.

And even when I’ve doubted myself, more so recently with perimenopause turning me into a raging mare!

I’ve never doubted who you’re becoming.

We’re raising strong, fierce souls in a soft world.

We’re navigating fear fuelled media, digital traps with nightmare grooming, and mental health minefields with bullying and homeschooling, but you’re learning to think for yourself, to feel it all, and to choose power over panic.

That’s what I’m proud of.

I’m proud of how you have taken responsibility for all your life decisions and learnt the lessons from them. Your decision to return to school, even though we’re not fans of the system, has shown you how far you have come with building your resilience and boundaries. Your desire to learn, discuss and debate inspires me!

That’s what Mother’s Day means to me.

@engineered.exposures and my little firecracker Evelyn, Thank you for choosing me and riding this wild wave on this earth with me.

Being your mum is messy and magical 💫

And yes, I’ll always remind you to drink your god damn water, eat your protein, speak up, and take no shit!!!!

Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Unstoppable.

Just how I like us.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible spirit of women all around the world! 🌍

It’s a day to honour the trailblasers, the quiet warriors, and every woman in between. 🦹🏼

May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them. 💫

Here’s to the women who dare to dream, challenge the status quo, and pave the way for future generations.

Their strength, resilience, and grace remind us that change is not only possible but inevitable. 👊🏼

Today I got to celebrate International Women’s Day with lots of really incredible women and listen to some fantastic speakers in one of the most stunningly gorgeous settings at Minterne House in Dorchester.

I hadn’t mingled in quite some time, so I was a tad out of practice. However, the warmth and inclusivity at this event quickly brushed away any rustiness, making me feel incredibly welcome!

Thank you Beth @folio_creativeco for putting on such a lovely day and Thank you to all the beautiful women involved throughout the event.
