Some pictures I never posted ✨I created this painting 6 months ago and I remember that slept next to it on the couch for two nights in a row because it challenged me so much 🤣 At that time I had this idea of creating extreme comfort, a safe space. Mostly because it was something I deeply needed. During that time I learned how to regulate myself. To slowly come out of survival mode and soothe and hold myself. This is so difficult but so liberating. I learned that even small things can help. Holding a warm water bottle. Hugging something soft. Giving yourself the kind of comfort you might miss. The neon pink in this piece was new for me. The whole palette has that soft, nostalgic “Barbie” feeling from the 90s some of you said :) my inspiration was also the colors from the Powerpuff Girls. There’s something about those tones that soothes and feel like medicine ❤️‍🩹🎨 It‘s the last 3 days where this artwork is offered as a print. Visit valerielin.com or via link in bio. After that the print will be gone. Thank you to everyone who has supported this piece! 🤍 sending you a warm hug 🧸 #art #oilpainting #artstudio #painting #figurativepainting by @itsvalerielin
Productive days in the studio 🧚🏼‍♀️ Back to my good old master studies 🌱I haven’t done them in 5 years, but they used to help me improve so much faster. I’m sharing the full process on Patreon. Join me and improve your skills 🎨 I’m also giving away two prints from my upcoming print drop. Entry ends April 16 🍬✨ links are in my bio #painting #artstudio #oilpainting #watercolorpainting #cottagecore by @itsvalerielin
