Your dreams are valid with work. Work? The waiting period is tough! God is preparing you and working on you during the waiting period.

Just like @iamshaffybello said, God is planting a seed. It grows from inside and inside is dark then one day, it sprouts omg finally!

That day is coming for all of us. When that day comes, would you be able to handle it? That’s what God is doing.

You can’t rush greatness like @mikeafolarin said.

Permit me to say; yes, I’m proud of my journey. Before celebrating the big wins, I’ll celebrate the little ones that are big for me right now💃🏾

There’s so much to be thankful for. God has been faithful to a girl who just dreamt and still dreaming✨🙏🏾

ACCELERATE 2026 — THE JOURNEY.
I am a testament that God is good.

Cheers to those little stories;

I first heard about Accelerate when @rhoda_sparkle was selected as one of the students a few years ago. I remember thinking, “Wait… programmes like this exist? I want to learn too.” I made a mental note to apply whenever the programme opened again.

One thing led to another, and I got busy building my presence and finding my feet in the industry. Somehow, I forgot about Accelerate.

Fast forward to 2026… look at me. 😂
One thing led to another, and industry giants I respect believed in me, honestly, that scared me a little. It started with a call from @abbmona and Director @tolu.ajayi2 . Somewhere in the conversation, I realised this was Accelerate and I just looked at myself like… “Wait. So this is it?” 😂

The next thing I knew, we were working, attending meetings, solving problems, coordinating, contributing and building. I learnt so much, contributed and met incredible people. I was exposed to industry giants. And together, we successfully delivered Accelerate 2026.

I genuinely believe I am a testament to the fact that God works in miraculous ways. Who would have thought that the girl who once wanted to apply to Accelerate as a student would eventually become a key part of the programme?

May your name constantly be mentioned in rooms you are not in. May you be remembered by people who have you in mind but never activated.

This experience reminded me that those silent prayers, those little wishes, those voices and echoes of “I want this. I want to be there. I want to learn. I want to make an impact.” — God hears them. He actually listens.
He just does things in His own timing. God has been more than good to me.

I just wanted to make good movies. I wanted to tell stories. I wanted to build something meaningful and build a legacy. I guess this legacy also includes being part of programmes that create opportunities for the next generation of filmmakers. Honestly, I can’t wait to see all the beautiful films that will come out of the hands and hearts of the Accelerate filmmakers. 🎬
