Little bit about me and my journey.Swipe if you happen to be curious...Side note: Appreciate you for being here for my TrizTalk!I was the kid who signed up for every sport.Main ones being;Track and field.Volleyball.Kickboxing.I loved movement. I loved competition. I loved seeing what my body was capable of.When I started lifting weights in Grade 9, I quickly became obsessed with learning everything I could about training and nutrition. I'd spend hours reading articles, watching videos, and trying to understand how people built incredible physiques. At the time, I thought bodybuilding was solely about sculpting the physique. Then bodybuilding slowly started building me in ways I never would've guessed...I stepped on stage for the first time in 2022 and immediately caught the bug.Not because of trophies. Not because of placings...But because I had finally found something that challenged me in every area of my life.Bodybuilding taught me discipline. It taught me resilience. It taught me self-awareness...It taught me how to keep promises to myself. It taught me how to be uncomfortable in pursuit of something meaningful...It also helped heal something I struggled with for years: my relationship with food.Growing up in a Vietnamese family, food was never just food.Food was connection.Food was culture.Food was showing appreciation.Yet for years I felt pressure to be "the fit girl."I hid how much I loved food.I worried about what people would think if I ate certain things...I spent too much energy trying to look a certain way instead of appreciating what my body could do.Bodybuilding helped me work through that.Today, I proudly call myself both a bodybuilder and a foodie.I've learned that those two things can coexist...Along the way, this sport has also introduced me to some of the most incredible people I've ever met.People who believed in me.Supported me.Pushed me.And reminded me that I didn't have to do everything alone...My most recent show was the first time I stepped on stage completely at peace. No comparisons. No feeling like an imposter. No attaching my self-worth to a placing.Just grat by @itz.triz

Proof I don't only wear @crocs ... just 98% of the time. This posing routine is a snapshot of a prep that was completely different from my previous ones.Leading up to show day, I didn’t just feel ready—I felt at peace. I realized I’m on my own journey—one step, one pose, one rep at a time. I was just so grateful to be there, surrounded by support, knowing I gave everything I had - even when no one was watching.I was never the most confident person (I'm still not), but this prep taught me that confidence comes from knowing I gave my all in everything WITHIN my control. I didn’t need to measure up to anyone else—I just needed to show up as the best possible Triz-Dawg.Through this, I fell even deeper in love with bodybuilding—not just for the body it builds, but for the person it helps me become. It pushes me beyond limits I never imagined, and every step—especially the toughest ones—brings me closer to who I’m meant to be.#wellnessbodybuilding #wellnessposing #bodybuildingcompetition #musclesandtattoos #bodybuildingwomen by @itz.triz

With a sprinkle of hammies Idk about you.. hammies were never my favourite. I've always loved training quads, and they're still my favourite body part to train.Surprise surprise, now my hammies and glutes are lacking.. aggressively. Working on bringing those puppies up, slowly learning to love hammie training in the process#wellnesslegday #bodybuildinglegday #wellnessbodybuilding #bodybuildingjourney #buildingbiglegs by @itz.triz

🧠 The Science in Plain English:Momentum can help move the weight. It can't make your muscles grow. The better you control a movement, the easier it becomes to keep tension where you actually want it.For me, slowing down isn't about trying to make every rep look pretty. It's about staying honest about my goals. Now, that doesn't mean every exercise needs an exaggeratedly slow tempo. Different movements and different goals call for different approaches. But learning to stay in control throughout a rep has made a huge difference in my training, especially for movements like RDLs, Bulgarians, belt squats, and glute-ham raises (learning to love these). What's one exercise that completely changed once you slowed it down?#bodybuildingtrainingtips #musclesandtattoos #musclegrowth #TimeUnderTension #hypertrophytraining by @itz.triz

For a long time, I wanted people to see me as "the fit girl."The one who always ate perfectly. The one who never missed a workout (i mean i still won't be caught missing a training sesh, but am not always eating "perfectly")The funny thing is... nobody was really asking me to be that person.I was putting that pressure on myself.Somewhere along the way, I realized I was spending so much energy trying to protect that image that I'd started hiding parts of myself. The part of me that genuinely loves food. The part of me that simply enjoys sharing a meal with the people I love.Ironically, bodybuilding is what helped me find that version of myself again.Yes, I still have huge physique goals.Yes, I compete in a sport where appearance matters. And yes, I'll continue chasing those goals with everything I've got.But I don't want those goals to come at the expense of who I am.Today, I don't want to be known as "the fit girl."I want to be known as someone who works hard.Someone who is kind, reliable, and genuine.Someone who keeps showing up, even when it's hard.If people remember me for my physique, I'll be grateful. But if they remember me for my character...I think that's something I'll be even more proud of.Have you ever realized you were trying to live up to a version of yourself that no one else was actually expecting?#wellnessbodybuilder #bodybuildingwomen #bodybuildingmindset #wellnessweapon #sportpsychology by @itz.triz

This week reminded me that building better habits isn't about becoming a completely different person overnight. It's about creating a little more space between the thought and the action. One thing I was really proud of this week wasn't a PR or a number on the scale. It was catching myself before slipping into an old habit. That might not sound like much, but those small moments used to happen automatically. Now I'm starting to notice them, pause, and make a conscious decision instead. The scale was up slightly this week, but my routine feels stronger than it has in a long time.Training continues to improve.Sleep has been the best it's been in weeks. My appetite feels more predictable.Tracking feels less like something I have to do and more like part of my routine.coach @nate_seredich came in with some wisdom, as always..."Those little moments are what create long-term change."I think that's true for bodybuilding, but I also think it's true for life. Most meaningful change doesn't happen through one huge breakthrough. It happens through hundreds of tiny decisions that nobody else ever sees. What's one habit that used to take a lot of effort but now feels almost automatic?#wellnesscompetitor🏆 #improvementseason #bodybuildingjourney #bodybuildingmindset #wellnessathlete by @itz.triz

when movements start clicking 🤌Throughout my decade of lifting, I have phases where RDLs are all glute/hammies OR all low back and hammies r in a coma.right now, hammies are workin'you ever have those moments with these? To be honest...Smith machine is probably my 2nd favourite reverse lunge variation. Nothing beats reverse lunges on a v-squat (or similar squat machines)Learning to get my glutes/hammies to step up, rather than relying on my quads by @itz.triz
