For a while, I’ve been reflecting on the fatherhood of God and what it truly means for us. I’ve been reminded that God’s relationship with us as believers goes far beyond Him being our Creator. He is our Father, and our identity as children of God comes from the Father, and the truth of who we are is revealed through His Word. The Word, who is God, reflects the identity of every believer.(John 1:12; Romans 8:15–16).

Some people have a mistaken view of who God is, seeing him as this supreme God who is unreachable and should not be approached except with fear. (Hebrews 4:16)
However, when you begin to see God as your Father, you begin to live and act like His child and embrace what you have inherited from Him. At times, we underestimate our rights and minimise the authority we have as a child of God, forgetting who we are as heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. (Romans 8:17)
We subconsciously continue through life carrying burdens that were never ours to bear. We forget that we can go to our Father and share the desires of our hearts. Yes, “He already knows, why do I need to tell Him” but He still wants us to talk to Him. He desires a genuine relationship with us and wants to be involved in every area of our lives, why? You may ask. It’s because he’s our FATHER ❤️ by @itz_phayo_h
