thank you for all the love and support everyone has given me this theatre season. i have grown so much both as a person and as a technician this year and i couldn’t have done it without every single one of you. from the one night of mermaid that i had a fever of 101 during 😅 to sweeping the competition at jv uil with edward tulane to spending 6 months with our amazing uil company. thank you for trusting me and here’s to another great season next year ❤️ by @itzbuzzybee_

“when i stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house…”

.
.

as many of y’all know, i love the outsiders. it’s my favourite book and one of my top five favourite movies and musicals like ever. like many others, i originally read the book in seventh grade — though not for school, and then again in eighth grade for english class. i got introduced to the musical when i saw the north american tour production in dallas back in november and the hyperfixation kicked off instantly again. for spring break, my mother and i took a day trip to tulsa, oklahoma to see the @theoutsidershouse museum to see a bunch of the filming locations for the movie and even got to meet a few of the extras who were in the movie! this trip meant a lot, the outsiders means a whole lot to me and many other people and i am so, so glad i got to go on this trip, even if it got cut short.

thank you, susie hinton. thank you to the outsiders house volunteers, thank you to my mom for taking me on this trip. stay gold.

a wishbone never breaks even.

i saw conan gray’s wishbone world tour in his hometown show yesterday with one of my best friends @fr0_gzz! a life changing experience getting to crashout with thousands of other amazing people over our shared love of this amazing man’s music. so thank you, conan, for putting on an amazing show. and thank you to my mother for buying these tickets for my birthday. i will always be wishing at 11:11. (also i’m pretending he played holidays, okay? okay.) by @itzbuzzybee_

once in a house on egypt street…

and with that, the miraculous journey of edward tulane comes to an end. this is full circle for me, this show was my last middle school production as stage manager and now it’s my first high school production as stage manager and i couldn’t be more grateful that i got to do this show with these people. y’all told a beautiful story and left it all out on the stage. i am so proud of each and every one of you. we told a story and changed lives, even in ways that may seem insignificant. best tech crew, both best performers, and FIRST PLACE! we did that guys. we made that happen. i love all of you. keep performing, keep changing lives, keep being yourself. and thank you for allowing me to be your stage manager and your friend.

“it was a ball, it was a blast, and it’s a shame it couldn’t last, but every chapter has to end, you must agree.”

this show was so, so much fun to put together. this company, like every company before it, was one of a kind and i am grateful for each and every person in it from actors to technicians to our pit orchestra and featured dancers. i put so much love and time into this show and i wouldn’t change that for the world.

this was my first high school show in any sort of leadership position. thank you so much to everyone for teaching me to be comfortable in my role and giving me the confidence to do everything that i did in the last four months.

i wish we had gotten more time together and were able to share this story with more people but alas we didn’t and i don’t regret a moment of the show that we did give—we put our heart on that stage and we showed them what we had, that’s what we need to be proud of. thank you for the memories and the stories and the friendships.

but most importantly, thank you for letting me be apart of your world. by @itzbuzzybee_
