Athlete Spotlight: Abby @afsaxton just ran 26.2 through Washington D.C. all smiles!
She’s an amazing bodywork therapist with @ironwoodbodywork and found balance with her work and training to make this block a huge success.
Abby absolutely crushed her marathon goal time of 3:50 by finishing in 3:46 and now has completely caught the marathon bug because she’s already looking at her next one in 2027.
We are super proud of her achievement and are looking forward to getting her to another marathon finish line. Congrats Abby!

🔥 HYROX ATL 2027… HERE WE COME! 🏁💪🏽
Now we’re doing Mixed Doubles and taking the girls along for the ride, and they’re about to experience the MAYHEM firsthand! 😂🔥

More memories, more laughs, and a whole lot of craziness!

ATLANTA 2027, WE’RE COMING! 💪🏽🏃‍♂️

I’m not out here trying to be a fitness influencer. This might just be my midlife crisis… but I’m here for it. 😂💪

I’m doing this to be around longer, healthier, and more present for my family—and the future additions to our crew. I want more years with them and more life in those years.

If sharing my journey motivates a couple of people along the way, that’s a win. Everyone’s journey looks different, but it starts with YOU wanting to be better.

One of my best friends and an elite trainer, @mccaffrey_chris with @itzracing, and I completed HYROX Tampa. Our goal was to finish in under two hours. Secretly, I wanted 1:45… and we crossed the finish line at 1:49. I’m proud of that. 👊

I’m not a great runner, but we all have to start somewhere. There was a time I wouldn’t have even considered attempting something like this. Now I’m finishing it and looking for ways to get better.

Next up: Dallas and Nashville. I’m pushing myself to limits I didn’t know I had, learning as I go, and finding out how much more I’m capable of.

Some days feel great. Some days are a struggle. But I’m proud of the progress, and I’m excited to keep going.

If you want to follow along for the journey, come on. We’re just getting started. 💪 by @itzracing

Athlete Spotlight: Luis! 🏃‍♂️
He just started running this year, and we set a massive goal right out of the gate: HYROX Tampa.
For those who don't know, @hyroxamerica consists of an 8km run (nearly 5 miles) paired with 8 intense functional fitness exercises. Coach Macca stepped in to help Luis build up his aerobic base and raw strength along the way.
Heading into race day, Luis kept a realistic goal of 2 hours in mind, but secretly aimed for a sub-1:45:00 finish—knowing it was possible if he paced himself from the very beginning.
Luis and Coach Macca (@mccaffrey_chris) ultimately crossed the finish line at 1:49:00, and both were all smiles the entire day! ⏱️🎉
Next up? Luis is already training for his second HYROX this December in Nashville.

I became a half Ironman

I raced IM 70.3 Augusta in 04:35:59, placed 11th in age group, 83rd overall. Also, I took home a sweet, new medal. Missed the qualifications for 70.3 worlds, but super happy how I performed.

Everything was executed well across the board. Fitness was there, and adaptability was solid moving around in transitions.

From the psosas major tendinitis flare up in the peak block, work stuff, and just the grind, I would not have it any other way. Obstacles were overcome and taken with a calm mind.

I know what needs to be done in the off-season now to come back and get a podium. Got some other goals to wreck in the off-season. 💪

Swim: 27:43 (1:25/100m)
Bike: 02:32:07 (22.11 mph)
Run: 01:28:45 (6:45/mi.)
T1 and T2: 5:19, 2:07

ITZ Running athlete spotlight: Kyle (on the left w/black shirt) will be racing the Run for the Pies 5k this weekend in Jacksonville, FL. He's been working really hard and is going for sub 20 min! We met Kyle through our corporate coaching program, and he enjoyed our weekly group sessions so much that he signed up for coaching. He has now competed in multiple marathons, half-marathons, and most of the Jacksonville Grand Prix races. Let's wish him good luck for this weekend's 5k race! #itzrunning #marathoncoaching #runcoaching #runjax #5ktraining by @itzracing

Blake's been working on his running. This quick video was used to help analyize his form and running gait so he knows what drills to work on during his warmup and cooldown. Drills take 2-5min and can be done daily. Over a month they add up to 3 hours of drill training. DM us DRILLS to get connected with Coach Macca to set up a time to have your form and running gait analyzed. #itzrunning #runcoaching #halfmarathontraining #marathoncoaching by @itzracing

Meet Gray, our next featured athlete! Gray joined @itzracing through our Corporate Coaching Program, starting with general fitness and working up to a marathon attempt. After overcoming a medical setback, he's now crushing 10ks and half marathons, standing on podiums and loving the journey. We're beyond proud of Gray's goal shifts and mindset growth. #runcoaching #itzracing #itzrunning by @itzracing

Here's our next Athlete Spotlight. @shuaman1 (Josh). He broke 25 Minutes for the 5k and set his fastest 5k time ever! He also rode 20 miles to get to the race as he is currently one of our multisport athletes. His next race is the 70.3 in Chattanooga in a couple weeks. We are super proud of Josh for his continued dedication to the craft and his pursuit to find the little things that continue to make him better. On and off the roads.
