I got to watch this film grow from a conversation between friends into a real world we could actually step inside. It became one of the most meaningful creative experiences of my life.

Thank you to @truitt_glover for trusting me with this role and pushing me past what I thought I was capable of. He invited me to build her from the inside out- to be messy and real and raw and deeply human. To not just show up as an actor, but a true collaborator.

Somewhere during the making of this, life gave me a deeper understanding of what this character was carrying. I think that truth found its way into the work. I learned a lot about grief… and about myself.

We made something heavy and honest and beautiful together. I hope it stays with the people who watch it the way it has stayed with all of us.

So grateful to this talented team for pouring every bit of heart into this.

I’ll be carrying this one with me for a long time 🫶🏻 by @itzsavannahrae
