I started my field research two weeks ago, with that lots of feelings have come up I’ve shared with participants my own experiences and thoughts on being an immigrant. And the biggest question has always been ¿como hubiera sido mi vida?

Girl I don’t remember this but I want to bite my own baby cheeks

My godmother continues to inspire me even after her death, she was super kind and caring and lived in a beautiful home with animals and a garden. I remember learning how to peel and eat pumpkin seeds from her

When I think of who I truly am as a person I always think of this silly playful girl who loved dressing up, dancing, singing and taking pictures, nothing has really changed

My maternal grandma and I

At this point most of my paternal aunts were already in Reno, and they would send back gifts, being the first girl grandkid had its perks taken in Michoacán, Mexico by @itzy.a
