“Green Box Daze”…
How being an “old soul” is really survival, not wisdom.
A reclaiming of the loud, soft, curious parts that got boxed away too soon.
Healing looks like letting that childishness breathe again.

My first main stage work in college was more than successful! So, first I would like to thank everyone who let me talk their ear off about this piece from January until hit the stage loll…
To my mentor & voice actress @lenelle.ann thank you soooo much for cutting my music a thousand times and brining my poem to life!
And lastly to my beautiful cast/friends, thank you all for trusting me and dancing this piece with so much care! Love you all so much! 🤎

Here’s a dump of some of my favorite wiggles from this semester ☺️
1: Wayyy tooo early for class and caught a vibe
2: late night lab session w/ Ariel & Zarea
3: My fav part of Ariel and I’s duet (Ariel’s choreo)
4: Just grooving to the live percussion w/ Zarea and Jamie at Symposium
5: Bored at the dorms 😂
6: independent lab session in the graffiti room 🎨
7: Probably the one and only time I did the wacking midterm correct 🎉 (choreo by Bevara)
8: When I finally started breathing during my fully improved solo 🧘🏽‍♀️
9: A little challenge I gave myself during the same early morning vibes from #1
10: Some choreography I definitely neeed to finish 🔥
11: Just getting carried away 💪🏽 (Sophia P’s piece)

Can’t wait to do it next semester Chicago!! See ya in January 💋#explore #dance #chicago #ccc

Senior Sunday/ Senior Chor 25’ 😊✨

Getting the opportunity to not only share one of my favorite pieces I’ve choreographed, but also direct the show itself will be an experience I’ll cherish forever!
“Surrender” is a piece very special to me, and I’m glad to have gotten to see it on many different sets of beautiful dancers!
To @emmyanagrace I thank you for always being amazing, and adjusting to and supporting everyone who had to step in last minute lol 🤵🏽‍♀️
To @laylasolsvig I thank you for believing in yourself, and for dancing this piece you learned in just two weeks beautifully!
To @xo_.katyy , thanks for stepping in for my checkpoint after learning it in a day and a half! Wouldn’t have made it to the show without you 🩷!
And to @kaylamadison_dancer , I thank you for being so supportive even though you could not dance yourself! I know you would have delivered this piece beautifully! Thank you for becoming a forever friend, love you 🫶🏽

Hopefully this is not the end of “Surrender” 🤞🏽,but if so I’m happy to say that all of you danced it! taken in Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts by @itzz.kris10
