🏈 Proud moment for the Mighty Macs!

🎥 Standout Moments | 2025–26 IU Athletics Season 🏈

Theresa Jappah | Women's Flag Football

On April 21, 2026, the Immaculata Mighty Macs hosted Penn State Schuylkill in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament First Round at Draper Walsh Stadium, marking the program's first-ever home playoff game.

Holding a 13-0 lead in the third quarter, Penn State Schuylkill drove into Immaculata territory looking to cut into the deficit. That's when Theresa Jappah made the play of the game.

Reading the quarterback perfectly, Jappah jumped the route, intercepted the pass, and raced 60 yards to the end zone for a momentum-shifting pick-six. The defensive touchdown extended the Mighty Macs' lead to 19-0. It energized the home crowd as Immaculata cruised to its first-ever postseason victory 27-0, advancing to the conference semifinals.

Jappah anchored one of the conference's top defenses throughout the season, earning First Team All-Atlantic East Conference honors after recording 77 tackles, eight interceptions, five pass breakups, one sack, and four interception return touchdowns. She finished the year tied for the team lead with eight interceptions, including two in the historic playoff victory over Penn State Schuylkill.
