Last night, the community gathered for Somatic Resonance, a reiki+sound collab project by Nanse Kawashima & Bryce Hackford.

Bryce tuned us into the resonant frequencies of our bodies and of the room, while Nanse worked reiki through her intuition and touch. They followed w a sweet Q&A. Beautiful to witness moms with their teens, students, artists and professors receiving in this way.

Thank you Nanse @nansekawashima & Bryce @iv_act for bringing your special project to Princeton.

🔈Listening this week through the FS-2 speakers created by @a.for.ara 💎 we cannot be more grateful for their collaboration

Somatic Resonance is back at @reforesters.io Sign up in link in bio.

A collaborative project combining group reiki facilitated by Nanse Kawashima with music by Bryce Hackford.

All materials have their resonant frequencies. Bryce Hackford intuitively tunes to resonant frequencies of human body in meditated performance and observation. These tones generally center lower thresholds of human hearing and can be psychoactive. A viscous music, not unlike cuddling up to a giant cat; you are the glass of water on the dashboard.

Kawashima and Hackford view their respective practices as complementary, synergistically blending sound and energy vibrations. When the two resonances merge, they foster a unique sensorial experience, allowing people to drift into relaxation or deepen their bodily awareness. by @iv_act

Alien D serves as the container for a range of both meditative and percussive productions by New Yorker Daniel Creahan. He has released on Lillerne, Theory Therapy, and more.

deep glens is the electronic music project of producer and mixing/recording engineer brett bullion. It is a return to bullion’s early roots in experimental electronic music, and draws on formative influences such as warp, mego, chain reaction, and touch, and blends these reference points with his extensive studio experience.

Bryce Hackford is an artist and composer working across recorded media, performance and installation, often centering the physicality of auditory experiences, material presences and ecstasies with sound systems of various dimensions.
