Back in Milis, where the first seeds of this journey were sown.Stories, memories and textiles gathered from many homes became part of an evolving body of work, an installation, a documentary short and a series of handcrafted bags. The first ten bags created during the residency unexpectedly found new homes and sold out completely.Pane Nocefresca will continue as an ongoing collaboration with @nocefresca. A new series will be released online in September. 👆🏼An invitation to become part of this growing Cartography: 🗺️If you have an old linen tablecloth, an embroidered kitchen towel or a traditional household textile carrying memories of your family, you are warmly invited to send it 📅 until 10 August.Together we can create a living map of stories, craftsmanship and roots, allowing these textiles to continue their journey in a new form.🗒️ A gentle note Please send only household textiles such as linen tablecloths, embroidered kitchen towels or traditional fabrics. No used clothing, please. As each piece will be carefully transformed and given a new life, I kindly ask that textiles are clean and in a condition suitable for further making and craftsmanship. Please do not send stained, damaged or discarded materials.Thank you for respecting the process and the materials. If you would like to become part of this Cartography, please send me a message @ivaivanova.design In residency @nocefresca Curator @livtarsia Project by @ivaivanova.design by @ivaivanova.design

Spiral of the Body The Shepherd’s Spiral.A woven belt inspired by Thracian and Balkan working garments. Worn at the center of the body for protection and strength. The Japanese Coat seems to have always carried the intention to hold a life. From alpine sheep to Loden, shaped in the Austrian mountains, it was never meant to be complete. Its inner world began with drawings and quiet wishes from an Amazonian community, translated onto vegan silk by @stephkaklaura .Embroidery by @cenzococca Bound by a ribbon of Sardinian wool, woven by @paulina_herrera_letelier and @mariantoniaurru In the last year, it continued to live through movement.Hand stitches added while traveling through Bulgaria, Mallorca and France. Carried worn and shaped by time. Its presence was gently witnessed by @paulfraysse and @forisset The final stitches were completed in Nepal. Invisible. Intentionally so.Because life works quietly from the inside. Because community forms long before it is named.Because some pieces are not made to end, but to be lived with. The Japanese Coat is not a garment. It is a carrier of life. by @ivaivanova.design

There are places that stay with us long before we arrive. This first edition of ELA Journal takes us high up into the Himalayas and into conversations about craftsmanship, cultural memory and the people who continue to create with care. The journeys I have taken and the artists and makers I have met along the way have become the seed and inspiration behind why I created ELA.This journal is my way of sharing a small piece of that journey with you.I hope it invites you to slow down and travel with me for a little while. With love,@ela.alivingspace Thank you to @shintamanimustang and my partner @guentersteininger Read the story 👆🏼link in Bio by @ivaivanova.design

After many years, we also wanted our own tote bags! But on one condition: they had to be one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces that truly reflect the spirit of nocefresca. For this project, we invited our former artist in residence, designer Iva Ivanova (@ivaivanova.design), to create the bags using fabrics donated by the people of Milis. Iva chose tablecloths, aprons, and kitchen towels, transforming them into ᴘᴀɴᴇ ɴᴏᴄᴇꜰʀᴇꜱᴄᴀ – ᴛʜᴇ ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴛᴀʙʟᴇ: a limited series inspired by bread, shared meals, and the stories woven around the table. What could be simpler yet more essential than bread? A product of peasant culture that belongs to the whole world: perhaps the oldest and most universal food of humanity. A symbol of hands at work, ideas taking shape, conversations, and community.Pane Nocefresca wants to maintain a connection with the past while projecting it into the present, celebrating the territory and the people who inhabit it.The first 10 bags sold out during the Open Studios, but another 10 will be available in the autumn. If you’d like to reserve one, send an email to studio@iva-ivanova.com or DM to @ivaivanova.design. #PaneNocefresca #TheLivingTable_______________________________#totebags #breadculture #artandfood by @ivaivanova.design

Today we’re highlighting Ethical Fashion Course Alumni @ivaivanova.design 💚Iva is a textile-based artist and creative practitioner for whom fabrics transcend their functional role and become vessels of memory, connection, and transformation. Through craft, she explores the relationships between people, materials, culture, and the natural world , creating spaces where heritage can be experienced as a living practice rather than a fixed memory.A significant turning point in Iva’s journey was participating in the Ethical Fashion Course. More than an educational program, it became a space for exchange, inspiration, and connection with an international community of artists, makers, and changemakers. “The course showed me that I am not pulling the thread alone, but that I am part of a collective of makers, artists and changemakers moving towards a shared vision.” Inspired by these experiences, Iva founded ELA - A Living Space in 2026. It is a community platform for craft, creativity, and movement that invites people to slow down, work with their hands, and reconnect with their intuition. At its heart, ELA is a place where heritage isn’t preserved behind glass, but lived and carried forward together.🪡 The Ethical Fashion Course📅 2 July - 6 August 2026💸 Investment: From €550 (Payment options available)📍 100% Online – Join from anywhere in the world✨ The doors are officially open. We’ve turned growth into pressure.Into performance.Into productivity.Self-development became self-optimization.But you are not a project to improve. You are not something to fix.Growth was never meant to feel like constant upgrading. It is attention. It is presence. It is practice.I’m creating a space for this.More soon.ELA by @ivaivanova.design
