You expect the tram at Ascensor da Bica to move, but it doesn’t ❌ (closed since September 2025)
Still one of the best photo spots in Lisbon😍

📍 Exact location: Ascensor da Bica - Largo do Calhariz

Should I do Part 2?

One of the advantages of living in Portugal? Two excuses a year to be my true self: Carnival & Halloween. 😂🧜‍♀️ This Halloween, I started the night with a fun dance class, followed by a party where everyone hit the dance floor. Amazing music, people and energy! Also, my first Bachata experience… and definitely not my last!

Looking for a night out in Lisbon? Check out Docas de Santo Amaro, in Alcântara, waterfront area with several bars and nightlife spots worth exploring.

Now tell me… are you team Halloween or team Carnival? #lisbonportugal #visitlisbon #lisboaportugal by @ivanainportugal

Sometimes, you just need a little PAUSE.

I treated myself to 90 minutes of pure relaxation at @pause.cosmetology, a beautiful and peaceful space in the heart of Lisbon, near Saldanha. The experience included 45 minutes of face, shoulder and scalp massage, followed by a 45-minute Facial System treatment with Victoria. From the atmosphere to the treatments, everything made this such a lovely self-care experience.

Add this to your Lisbon itinerary and thank me later. @pause.cosmetology

Nazaré, Portugal, is home to some of the world's biggest surfable waves. In 2011, Garrett McNamara helped put this little Portuguese town on the world map by riding a historic giant wave. Imagine facing something that huge and still believing you can do it. Sometimes, that same courage and belief can change more than we ever imagined.

On Sunday, the students reminded us of that. And today, we woke up to the beautiful news that Serbia is free. 🇷🇸

Maybe that’s why we should never stop dreaming big. Even the biggest waves can be ridden, and what once seemed impossible can become reality.

📍 Add Nazaré to your Portugal bucket list! It’s an unforgettable day trip from Lisbon.

Did you know this fairytale town in Portugal is known as the “Town of Queens”? In 1282, King Dinis gifted Óbidos to his wife, Queen Isabel. The town later became associated with generations of Portuguese queens, earning its nickname Vila das Rainhas or the Town of Queens.

With its medieval castle, charming cobblestone streets and whitewashed houses, Óbidos feels like stepping back in time!

With so much bad news around us every day, I felt like we all needed a little break. So I booked tickets for a stand-up comedy show in Lisbon, just wanting a night of fun and laughter.

But on our way there, we stumbled upon Portuguese university students singing in the streets. One of them offered me his traditional black cape and invited me to sway to the music. Strangers came together, shared their energy, and made the evening feel special.

We then went to Xafarix for a stand-up comedy show, and I was happy to see some performers from Selva Comedy Cafe there, too. I even started crying from laughter. 😂

Lisbon travel update!

If Pink Street is on your Lisbon bucket list, be aware that the famous section with the colourful umbrellas is currently blocked off due to construction work. I was there yesterday, and the street was completely closed in that section. 🚧

📅 No confirmed reopening date yet!

25. октобар. 3.❤️ #studentipobeđuju by @ivanainportugal

3 cities in ONE day starting in Lisbon!

☕ Breakfast in the charming streets of Óbidos

🌅 Sunset in Porto
🍷 Dinner by the Douro River

Did you know you can organize a private tour from Lisbon to Porto, with stops in Óbidos and Nazaré along the way? You can look for private tours on GetYourGuide!
⚠️ Keep in mind that this is a long and quite demanding day, but you can visit all 3 cities and arrive just in time for sunset in Porto.

Would you do it?
