Dont buy art pieces because they fit your colour scheme! Instead focus on how they make you feel when you look at them. After all, it’s your home and it should give you joy - and if your artwork sparks joy, you will never regret the purchase. Still worried about how it will work with the rest of your interiors? Either embrace a deliberate juxtaposition (contrasting contemporary and classical elements work amazingly) - or „make it flow“ by picking out colours of your artwork and mirroring it in accessories like cushions, vases, trays etc. Ready for some arty inspiration? Sometimes you don’t need a big entrance to make a big statement. The entrance vestibule in our Hampstead project is tiny - barely 25 sq ft (2.3sq m) in total. But it gives a sneak preview of what is to come with the rest of the house and scores extra points by adding storage. My top tips for a welcoming entrance on a small scale: 1. Avoid open storage - chances are it will just look cluttered and make your space feel untidy and even smaller 2. In small spaces it’s highly likely that muddy shoes, bags etc will make contact with the walls - so avoid the headache of trying to keep light paint colours pristine by going for something darker 3. A mirror is always a good idea for a small space - and even more so for the entrance hall. A quick check before heading out is a nice option to have - even more so if you can use as stylish a mirror as this hand-crafted model made by Spini Firenze (sourced via ) by @ivannaberry_

Sneak Peek: A fireplace clad in a strikingly-veined marble immediately welcomes you to this light-filled entrance area in our Hampstead project. Ample sitting space to put shoes on - and yes: lay out bags and coats the night before - make busy family mornings a breeze, while the fact that coats, shoes and other essentials are hidden away behind inconspicuous doors helps to keep the design clean and elegant … and importantly: sustainable even when three young children try their best to “redecorate” by @ivannaberry_

Sometimes the view is the main attraction of the interiors - and in our Côte d’Azur project it’s all about the views! This is why we kept the colours muted but added enough contrast to make it interesting and elegant. And throughout the house you will find little splashes of colour that bring the outside in: warming gold and yellows for the beautiful sun, the incomparable blues of the sky and sea and the lovely greens of the native pine and olive trees. This part of the world is truly an inspiring place and no wonder so many artists have made it their home over the centuries. The photos above are of the main sitting area which is designed to be a welcoming place for socialising just as much as a quiet place to read a book and enjoy the view. by @ivannaberry_
