I am honoured to have had the opportunity to highlight challenges for dyslexic children and adults in Ireland at a briefing for Oireachtas members @oireachtas_news, political staff and representatives of the teaching unions at Leinster House yesterday.

The focus this year for Dyslexia Awareness Month is Dyslexia Rights. Namely, the Right to Assessment, the Right to Identify and the Right to Supports. At yesterday’s meeting we discussed solutions to these challenges to improve the experience of children and adults with dyslexia in Ireland.

It was an honour to be speaking along side @rosiebissett (@dyslexia_ireland CEO), Gráinne O’Rourke (@dyslexia_ireland President/Chairperson) and Senator Tim Lombard @sentimlombard. Thank you @dyslexia_ireland for asking me to discuss my lived experience with dyslexia at yesterday’s meeting to advocate for Dyselxia Rights.

Thank you @sentimlombard for hosting the event and for your support and advocacy of dyslexic individuals in Ireland.

Wearing @aoifemcnamarax @aoife_ireland Blue Hope Trousers and Blazer to represent @dyslexia_ireland and my hope for achieving our goals for Dyslexia Awareness Month.
