Costume design I did back in 2023 for ‘ODYSSEUS WITHOUT TEARS’ 🗝️ - Alexander, a war veteran, has dedicated his life to the search for a mythical continent. Believing it to be humanity's last refuge should a nuclear apocalypse occur, he embarks on a journey to collect tears from different people, hoping to piece together the map that will lead him there. Exactly 1 year ago me and @luciibea blessed the London Borough of Haringey with a 3-day exhibition celebrating our recent scenographic works. Maeterlinck’s Blue Bird and Bronte’s Wuthering Heights hidden within a late medieval church tower…you just had to be there 🗝️ Now we get to create a fomo-inducing instagram post, yearn for the past and hope to come back with an even cooler exhibition in the near future.., Thank you to all our friends who came to see, perform and take photos at the event 🏰 @fake_bubb @luci.beee @dopizdiii @morbit.mp3 @tugc333 and more taken in London, United Kingdom by @ivanoff.set

‘The Land of Memory’ from Maurice Maeterlinck’s Blue Bird in 1:50 scale 🪁 @wimbledonual Tried to capture the ruins of a ‘Dacha’ that exists as a conceptual space in which family bonds are rediscovered and memories are kept under thick layers of dust. This set design for the ’Land of Memory aims to evoke feelings of an unsettling nostalgia and a sense of yearning - partially inspired by how my younger self perceived a visit to my grandmother’s house after a major flood in the winter and absolutely everything indoors got covered in thick layers of ice Notice the souls of the main characters’ dead grandparents imprinted on the wooden wall as if post-nuclear explosion shadows have visited the Coronet Theatre in my speculative set design. This scene is all about inevitably losing but never forgetting that child-like wonder and how an immigrant’s memories of a certain place fade and become pixelated ⛓️‍💥 The children never find their Blue Bird of happiness there - perhaps the past in not the place to look for it taken in The Coronet Theatre by @ivanoff.set

Palace of The Night - Maurice Maeterlinck’s ‘Blue Bird’ for the Barbican was the final set I designed while at @wimbledonual 🩵 1:50 pram was probably the pinnacle of my modelmaking career When choosing to design for this play I hadn’t anticipated how challenging it will be to dissect and rearrange something so sentimental and deeply engraved in my personal lore. Perhaps that’s why it took so long for me to post this Special thanks to my wonderful tutors Lucy Algar, Glen Neath and Dick Straker. And thanks to my partner Samuel for writing an incredible soundscape for the project and introducing me to the term ‘soviet neo-barqoue’ ⚙️ taken in Barbican Theatre by @ivanoff.set
