What’s your hobby?
- signing up for random competitions “zero experience-just passion” 😆💜

We were invited for the dog puller Summer Cup 2026. I entered Bailey to veteran classes in all three categories:
Running: 🥇first place
Jumping:🥈second place
Pullgility:🥇first place

Next time, we might even practise!😂

“Did you win?”
No, but yes.

Nobody wants to finish 18th in K1, 17th in C1 and 23rd in cross at their last U23 European Championships.

No, I did not win the Championships. And it still hurts to come home without a medal after all these years.

But I’ve realised so much — which would be a cliché to list here, so here are some highlights:

I won the Joker♠️ game — twice in a row 🤪
I wasn’t sick anymore at the Championships 🥳
My back hurt much less than during sessions 😇
I went for a coffee with a new friend 😁
I was the only one veterinary medicine student competing at this level🩺
And I realised I’m still one of the three best athletes to represent Slovakia 🇸🇰

So - if you ever face the same question, it’s up to you how you respond. And in the end, nobody really cares🥰

4th fastest in the World🌍 🚀

I’m super proud of the run I put down. To be honest, I’m aware I gave everything I had and couldn’t have done any better.
It hurts a bit to be 1,18s out of the podium I’ve dreamed of since I was a kid, but I was really close to achieve my dream. ☁️

Feeling bittersweet and leaving without a medal, however during wintertime I would never have imagined I’d be able to do so well. To perform at the top level, it takes a lot of determination, consistency, and countless hours of work - it becomes a real challenge while studying veterinary medicine.

Cheers to my very last World Championships (bye bye U23). ❤️‍🩹

I’d like to thank you for your support, especially @vsc_dukla @petercerstvik_strength_coach @uvlf_kosice @petermraz52 - without you it would not be possible. 🩷

We’re not finished yet - European Championships ahead!🫡

U23 team🇸🇰✅ for the very last time 🌠
Qualified for K1, C1 and Kayak cross
4th boat for senior team in all three categories
Excited to see what this special season will bring💫

4 days before selection 1, I decided to give C1 one last try. Hadn’t sat in it since…Solkan Euros? Maybe, can’t even remember. Challenge accepted🤭

Also, I became senior vice national champion this weekend🥈, and gained some 🥇 in teams with girls

Thank you all, @vsc_dukla @petercerstvik_strength_coach @petermraz52 @martin_kindo and others 🫶🏻 taken in Čunovo Water Sports Centre by @ivca.chlebova
