POSTS STORIES REELS
Repost from @iversonfaa • December 14, 2019 Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not real. ⁣ ⁣ Two years ago, Evie and I said “goodnight and I love you”, to him. It was the final time we’d hear it back. ⁣ ⁣ Last night, as I tucked her in she said to me, “Mommy, I wish Daddy was real.” I spent the following moments trying to articulate to our four year old daughter that her daddy is real and will always be real, that just because we can no longer see him, doesn’t mean he isn’t there. ⁣ ⁣ I reminded her that the house over our heads is because he is real, that she is alive because Daddy is real, and that she is loved and we are taken care of because he is real. ⁣ ⁣ Just like we cannot see the air, there are some things in life we cannot see that are most definitely real. ⁣ ⁣ We cannot see trauma; real. ⁣ We cannot see fear; real. ⁣ We cannot see love; absolutely real. ⁣ ⁣ Through the loss of Ryan Mitchell, I was awakened to the awareness of the life behind the curtain our heroes endure on a daily basis. Then, through Cory’s sacrifice, I was given a platform to make a change within a topic I understand too well. In essence, the day my sweet husband left, he gave me his wings and told me to fly. ⁣ ⁣ I have made it’s my life’s mission to continue to share the love I shared with him with all of our heroes and to remind them that their wellness is just as important ours. ⁣ ⁣ My hope is that as many eyes as possible see this video and that our heroes are reminded that they are important, that change is coming, they are not alone and they are loved. ⁣ ⁣ We can’t do this alone. ⁣ If you see someone struggling, ask how you can help. ⁣ If you yourself are struggling, accept help. ⁣ Know that communication with self and others is the first step to healing. ⁣ Sometimes all you can do is just breathe, and that’s okay. ⁣ ⁣ I was told once by a wise man named Coach, “Pain is only weakness leaving the body”. ⁣ Take your pain and know it will only make you stronger. ⁣ ⁣ Jake, thank you for articulating the foundation in such a perfect way. Words could never properly explain how grateful I am for your artwork and your friendship. ⁣ ⁣ A film by @storyandpixel ⁣ by @iversonfaa

We are sharing to help our brothers, neighbors, friends, mentors. These leaders in the fire service have played a pivotal role even in our Murrieta Fire ranks. Those that worked for Cal Fire before coming to Murrieta were mentored by these men in firefighting, customer service, fatherhood, and overall being better human beings. They dedicated so much energy to their careers, but it didn’t stop there. The best firefighters are those that perfect their craft and pass it on to the future of the fire service. Chief Bischof and Captain Rodriguez were perfect examples of this. LINK IN BIO. thank you 🙏 by @iversonfaa
As we move forward, beginning March 1, 2023, we will be suspending all programs in order to re-establish funding, re-evaluate and restructure how we can serve you all in the best possible way. Thank you to each and every one of you for taking your mental and emotional health so a seriously along side of us. Flexibility is a crucial component to living a healthy life. The more we push against resistance, the more difficult life will be. Allow yourself to be like water and move with the challenges life throws at you. Let it flow. Let it go. Let it grow. by @iversonfaa
