Cinco días que se sintieron como diez🪫🔋 🪫❤️
Color everywhere. Good food. Familia. Art. Rainy days. Shopping that got a little out of hand. And yes, some work - because with everything we have going on, you and I both know a full disconnect wasn’t happening. But the highlight? Celebrating grandma’s birthday with mariachi, cantaritos in hand and singing along the classic Mexican tunes✨

I gotta tell you.. when in Mexico, there’s nothing like starting your day with fresh fruit, carrot-orange-beets juice and coffee. I know some people hate papaya but I’m really counting the days to enjoy it again!! taken in Guadalajara, Jalisco by @ivettewilkins_

Not broken. ✦

This long weekend was so needed! I had been getting frustrated with myself for not being as productive, as creative, as fast, as clear… not realizing I had just completed and launched multiple projects simultaneously, traveled to México, came back straight into events, and just never stopped.

There’s a version of burnout that doesn’t look like falling apart. It looks like showing up every day and quietly wondering why everything feels harder than it should.

They never had to tell me twice how to show up.
Yo caminaba como si ya supiera a dónde iba.

The hair, the ruffles, the lace tights, the white shoes —
kept immaculate, because even at two years old,
the sole of my shoes getting dirty was a personal offense.
Mi mamá had to sit me down and explain that it was okay.
She was thrilled when I came home from school a little messy.
I was devastated.

And I couldn’t help but wonder…
Was I born with standards, or did I simply arrive
already knowing who I was?

I came into this world at seven months.
Two months early. Fighting before I even had a reason to.
Maybe that’s why I never took a single day lightly.
Maybe that’s why the look in my eyes — even in the oldest photographs — was never the look of a child who didn’t understand.
It was the look of someone who understood too much.

The shoes are less clean now.
I sit on the floor. I go barefoot.
I let the coffee spill on my shirt and I don’t let it ruin me.

I think some of us are just born with a big consciousness.
Feeling everything deeply, noticing everything quietly,
Carrying a sense of purpose before we even have the words for it and a need (that doesn’t feel familiar) to become free.

Me desperté sin alarma. Breakfast in bed, courtesy of the man who somehow always knows when I need it most before I do.

And then, the cards.🧚

✨Ganesha showed up — again. Third time this year.
“When you calm your wavering mind, you are able to overcome any obstacle.” Like 👀 ¿Qué me sabeeees?

I have known this for a while: slowing down is the strategy — I just have to keep reminding myself to actually do it.
Because stopping doesn’t come naturally to me.
It never has.
But the signs keep showing up until I listen.

✨Kriya came in upside down, which in tarot language means: Mijaaaa, sit down, breathe, and meditate.
Not tomorrow. Not after you keep adding things to the calendar.
NOW.🙂‍↕️

✨And then Karma laid it all out, the way only Karma can.
The sum of your actions. Every email, every conversation, every shared resources, every late night, every intentional decision.

Friday was a lot. ✦

Like any other day lately… meetings, content day, team notes, more meetings.
I genuinely forgot to eat and by the time I got home my husband just looked at me and said let’s go.

We didn’t even know where we were going.
Ended up at @sohochickenandwhiskey new location and it did not disappoint.🌟🌟🌟🌟
Their kitchen is exactly as good as we remembered at the other location.

Now - I know - Soho is famous for the fried chicken and whiskey. But today was not a chicken or whiskey day for me.
I went with the steak and frites, oh and we started with the fancy eggs and hushpuppies (SO GOOD!) and that was waaaaay more than enough.
Z had the chicken and confirms it is absolutely one of the best in the city. I’ll take his word for it.

One thing I will not move on from…
There was a banana crème brûlée on that menu.
But we skipped dessert. I’m still thinking about it. taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @ivettewilkins_

Wednesday for Women. ✦

Something magical always happens when women sit in a circle.💫 Not the standard networking event where you awkwardly trade business cards and make small talk that goes nowhere.

This is different.

Everyone gets space to speak. Everyone listens. Business owners, dreamers, builders.. all of us figuring it out. And somewhere in that… you connect dots and find the people you can help, and the ones who could help you.

The follow up comes later, deeper, even more real.
That’s how relationships actually get built.

It all starts with showing up.🫶🏼

Tonight the rain tried to stop us. It didn’t work.
