✨️Just in time for Women’s History Month, I’m proud to share another beauty story I penned for Upscale Magazine:

"Aging is a gift."🙏🏽

I wanted this story to honor what aging really is: wisdom, growth, perspective, and the BEAUTY of becoming.

🗣This conversation is especially meaningful because it speaks to the work I do everyday as a Beauty Expert, something so many women are navigating in real time: how to embrace every season of ourselves with grace, confidence, and truth. In a world that often tells women to chase youth, I wanted to help tell a story that reminds us of the beauty in becoming.

💡Immediately, I thought of my fav 2000s video vixen, @ivonnah for this conversation because she embodies grace and timeless beauty while speaking to the real experience of aging as a woman.

I keep getting told to put this on the timeline, lol. But this is the face of complete shock. Crystal literally said “oh wait that’s you!” when my name appeared on the screen and grabbed her phone and caught me and my fake mole’s reaction 😅 I didn’t have my glasses off or nothin’!

When you’re in a category with a comedy LEGEND you’re really just happy to be there and to be nominated. I’m so grateful to @micheauxfilmfest and the committee for seeing our work and for choosing me as Best Comedic Actress.

Love Is Blind is truly a labor of love. A cast and crew made up of a collective of friends who met at church 16 years ago who believe in @parneezypics vision and came together to make it a reality.

All week this video still has been popping into my head and I laugh every time I think about this day. I believe Miya held the record for the Video Vixen to do the most videos. You know why, she’d just show up. Was she booked on this video? Absolutely not, lol. Did she ever care, also, absolutely not. 🤣 I was afraid of getting in trouble by telling her where we were shooting - she didn’t give a damn. Because when she’d just show up, they’d tell her just to get in hair, makeup and wardrobe.
