Destination Session Banff as phone pics and bts.

Traveling and planning photoshoots is a TON OF WORK like, so much so that I have taken a little break from it. However, some of my FAVORITE MEMORIES of my life have been during these sessions. The locations, the clients, the friends and of course all the VIEWS!! My travel partner Angela makes planning these sessions look easy but I assure you, it is not. All that aside, they are worth it.

Where would you go if you could go anywhere for a photoshoot?

Me: I’d probably go back to Banff or another location that looks like that. The aqua waters, mountains and all the fall foliage really are right up my alley. I think traveling Scotland and snagging a few castles and foggy moors in pics would really fire me up. Patagonia doesn’t sound so bad either.

Places I’ve been for destination sessions to date: San Diego a few times, LA, Palm Springs x 2, Joshua Tree too, Banff, Salt Lake City plus the Salt Flats, Chicago, New York, Austin, Costa Rica, Morocco— gosh I feel like there is another one but I can’t remember. Maybe not. Maybe that is all of them. Pretty cool to have been a photographer in all of these locations.

Maybe we should do Banff again the end of next September. You would miss a couple days of school, the cost of the trip is separate from the photoshoot. And we take photos for a couple of days!! It’s a lifetime sort of trip. If you think this is for you. Let me know and I’ll see if I can make it work.

She did this one for me. I was trying to recreate a photo I saw to see how the magazine did it. It's damn near the same angle and of course our model is waaaaay more beautiful.⁠
