Hi!!! I’m Kate, owner and designer of Ivy Thread Needlepoint. I live in Florida with my sweet (and sometimes crazy) golden retriever. I work in strategy for my 9-5, but love having my shop as a creative outlet!

I started needlepointing around 3 years ago, but have only recently started selling my designs. I’ve always loved making things and would say I’m a serial hobbyist. I love baking, making custom decorated cakes and cookies, sewing, calligraphy, and of course needlepoint.

In April 2023 I went to see the Eras Tour and wow was it the most magical ever, so a few months later I wanted to make something to commemorate the occasion. I decided to drag my blank needlepoint canvas out of the closet that had been collecting dust, put a design together, and try my hand at painting. My ticket canvas was the first I designed for Ivy Thread Needlepoint.

I suppose something else to know about that time of my life is that I was really bored because I, like many others, had been laid off from my tech job. As a way to fill my newly found free time I decided to give Etsy a go, and Ivy Thread Needlepoint came to be!

My designs are really just inspired by things I love. Every design I make is something I’d like to stitch, so I hope you’ll love them too!

Lastly, thank you!! If you have supported me in any way at all thank you from the bottom of my heart!! I’ve loved getting to share this hobby with all of you and can’t wait for what’s to come with Ivy Thread Needlepoint. 💖
