The class focuses on body control, musical awareness and somatic movement, exploring how different sounds and frequencies can affect the body, influence our perception and trigger different physical responses. Through delicate weight shifts and an airiness of presence, we search for poetics in movement quality. Time traveling by exploring reverse motion and stretching time by playing with dynamics, the class is aiming to create a hypnotic sense of timelessness and continuity. Moving on the edge of conscience, dancers drift through a collective dream - balancing the boldness and vulnerability of falling and flying. Each gesture reveals details that blur gravity’s pull and the body’s resistance, exploring the space between soft collapsing and extended oppositions, inviting a state where movement becomes both memory and imagination, collapse and ascent.
