A great start to the day at @mountbatten_iw! Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for our latest IW Chamber Networking Breakfast at the John Cheverton Centre Cafe , Mountbatten. Our guest speaker was Becky McGregor, CEO of Mountbatten, who gave members an insight into the hospice’s strategy to 2030, sharing more about its direction for the years ahead and the vital role Mountbatten continues to play within the Island community. It was a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Becky, while also bringing Chamber members together to make new connections, catch up with familiar faces, and enjoy plenty of conversation over breakfast. A huge thank you to Becky for taking the time to speak to us, and to all of the Mountbatten team and café staff for looking after us so well and providing such a warm welcome, not to mention a fantastic breakfast! And, of course, thank you to all our members who came along and helped make it another successful morning of Chamber networking. We’re delighted to announce Denise van Outen as the host of the Isle of Wight Chamber Business Awards 2026! On Friday 11th September, Denise will join us at Bembridge Fort to lead us through one of the biggest nights in the Island’s business calendar, as we celebrate the outstanding businesses, individuals and achievements of 2026. And we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her. Denise van Outen needs no introduction; a household name whose career has stood the test of time, driven by a truly diverse range of talents. From acclaimed roles in TV, film, and theatre, both in London’s West End and on Broadway, to success as a TV presenter and talent show judge, Denise continues to evolve her creative path, now adding DJing to her repertoire. As a TV presenter, Denise has fronted some of the biggest shows on British television, while also DJing for major radio stations such as Magic FM and the Capital Breakfast Show. She has performed at some of the UK’s top festivals, including Isle of Wight Festival, Wilderness, and Cambridge Club, and has DJ’d for luxury brands across the globe, as well as playing at Ibiza superclubs UNVRS and Hï. A long-time supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, Denise has also DJ’d at Pride events across the UK.
