There’s still a few drops in this, but it’s officially going to be my first empty from my skincare routine. Not sure if it’s visible in the picture, but the lid/top/cap whatever it’s called, on this is all crooked. It started off normal, but for some reason got more crooked the more I used it, until it got to a point where closing this was a challenge in of itself. I have a few other The Ordinary products and never stumbled on this problem with them so I’m guessing I just got a faulty one.

My thoughts on the serum were so positive at first. I noticed my skin started to become less dull and more even toned all around, which was my goal when getting this, as well as helping to lighten and/or get rid of my PIH. My skin loved it... For a time. However, recently I started to get irritated by this product, to the point that it stung every time I applied it onto my face, so I had to stop using it altogether.

I did purchase a snail mucin serum from iUnik that helps with PIH, which turns out came with Niacinamide in it. However, I didn’t have an irritation to the snail mucin’s concentration of Niacinamide, so I think the problem was the percentage of Niacinamide in TO’s serum and not the ingredient itself.

This is such a shame as I stocked up on this product when I first bought it, but since I have PIH on my body as well, I’ve resorted to use the rest on my body so as to not be wasteful. It would be great in my opinion, if The Ordinary came out with a Niacinamide serum in the future that has a lower percentage that still delivers results, for people with sensitive skin like me.

Got the last bit of products I was waiting on to arrive! Didn’t know there was pee in this moisturizer, but well hopefully it does a good job at moisturizing the face.

I’m excited that my Vit C and Alpha Arbutin bottles finally came though. I’m hoping this, the products I have with Niacinamide, Retinol, Vit C and exfoliating once a week, helps me out with my hyperpigmentation.

These are the products that I bought after binging tons of skincare youtubers and deciding on what would be best and within my budget for my skincare concerns.

My favorite products so far are the following.

iUnik Black Snail Restore Serum
Cerave Hydrating Cleanser + Moisturizing Lotion
Purito Comfy Water Sunscreen
The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronics
Hada Labo Shirojyun Whitening Lotion
Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I only just started using the Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence but am liking it so far so it’s probably going to end up on this list as well.

One thing I am noticing however, is that my skin seems to be less sensitized by Asian skincare products, so I’m probably going to be looking more towards Asian skincare in the future.
