Ethan Nasir. I’m already crying just from writing his name. I can’t find the words. This is a happy post I swear lol. There isn’t a quote, there isn’t a song, there isn’t a description, there isn’t a comparison that I could come up with in this moment to even begin to explain the joy I feel to be his mother. Ethan is intelligent, brave, creative, hilarious, witty, adaptable, empathic, and strong but also self conscious, doubtful, hard on himself, very particular, self critical, impatient, and very sensitive. One thing I’ve always said is that my kids were born in the wrong era. Ethan thinks and feels deeper than most people and is susceptible to being disappointed when things don’t go as he thought they would. As long as I’m on this Earth, I will do my absolute hardest to guide him to the best of my capacity. I know he will continue to make me proud, as he already has been. Thank you Ethan for everything you have taught me so far about being a mother and have taught me about myself. You are a true warrior. “Love takes off the mask we fear we cannot live without, and know we cannot live within.” To my baby, my best friend, my accountability partner lol, the love of my life. You made it to 39 years of life. I know there have been days that you have felt like this must be a dream, but you’re here. You made it again. You are resilient, you are strong willed, you are the hardest worker, the biggest lover, the best student, the walking sacrifice so that everyone around you could be good, and you are deserving of all of the adversity you have triumphed. You are so appreciated by me and all of your loved ones. I can’t thank you enough. All of the laughs, headaches, disagreements, hugs, long talks, quality time, lessons, are only a tiny fraction of what I am thankful for with you in my life. “You either accept the conditions as they exist, or take responsibility and change them.” ✨ - @antmillertcf ••••••••••••••••••••• Last year was the year I decided to work on my greatest flaw; decision making. Making a decision and sticking to it despite the circumstances. Decision making comes with a higher level confidence and certainty within yourself. It requires you to have a vision and a belief in that vision that’s so strong, you don’t ever question it. It takes strength and discipline to maintain tunnel vision and not allow outside distractions to deter you from your goal. But most importantly, it takes self-love. Everyday, every hour, every minute, every second I am learning to love myself properly. Loving myself properly includes making changes and sacrifices that will force me to grow into the best version of myself. Happy and grateful that I made a decision ♥️ Let’s grow. by @iyanageee
