Already a @wiseaccount customer? 👀
Apparently, that might not get you the tote.

Wise’s Toronto pop-up is offering limited-edition merch to people who sign up in-store, while supplies last. But existing customers showing up to the pop-up aren’t getting it.

And honestly… we get wanting to attract new customers. But when your existing customers walk in and feel like they’re being left out of the fun, it’s a little hard not to notice. 😅

Maybe a little love for the people who were already here?

Were you already a Wise customer and went to the pop-up? Did you get a tote?

🍜 TIFF NOODLE POP-UP — WAS IT WORTH THE WAIT?

If you walked around TIFF Festival Street, you probably noticed the line. 👀

People were waiting for hours to get their hands on noodles that you can pretty much find at any grocery store.

The pop-up definitely created some hype, but the wait was a whole experience on its own. Hours in line for a product that’s not exactly hard to find around Toronto. 😅

We get it — free food + TIFF + a fun pop-up is a pretty good combination. But when the line gets that long, you start wondering if the experience is actually worth the wait.

Would you wait hours for it?

And if you did, tell us — how long were you in line and what did you think?

Free matcha workshop? 👀 Sounds great.
Except… it’s actually a raffle.

The event was promoted as a free matcha workshop, but there was no clear indication that spots were being raffled.
And here’s the catch: your place in line didn’t matter. You could be first and still not get in.

So if you’re planning to go… just know: getting there early doesn’t necessarily mean getting a spot. 👀

Would you have waited in line without knowing it was a raffle?

The Good Son promoted “Pizza in the Park” as a thank-you to the neighbourhood, promising complimentary wood-fired pizza at Trinity Bellwoods from 5–7:30 PM.

And Toronto showed up. A LOT.
The problem? They promoted the event heavily without making it clear how many pizzas were actually available or setting any expectations around capacity.
People lined up. And waited.

For hours. 🍕⏳

But instead of keeping everyone updated about how much pizza was left or whether people in line would actually be served, communication was basically nonexistent.
People were left hungry, frustrated and wondering what was going on.

And when people started complaining about the situation, the response reportedly seemed to be more frustration toward the people complaining — even though those people had simply shown up for an event The Good Son had heavily promoted.

If you invite a huge crowd with free food, you need to be prepared for a huge crowd.
You can’t market the event like crazy, provide no clear quantity or capacity, leave people waiting for hours without updates, and then be surprised when people are upset.

The pizza was supposed to be a thank-you to the neighbourhood. Instead, a lot of people left feeling pretty unappreciated. 👀

Toronto, did you go? What was your experience?

Rosie’s announced that complimentary banana pudding would be available for hours on August 27 via the app.
Sounds great, right? 👀

Except… they ran out in the morning.
And the most frustrating part? People apparently only found out there was no more pudding after they arrived at the restaurant. No warning beforehand, no update letting people know the promo was already over — just disappointed customers who had made the trip expecting to get it.

Free stuff is always going to bring people out, but if you know you’re running a limited quantity, maybe let people know when it’s gone? 😬

A sweet promotion with a pretty sour ending. 🍌

Would you have been annoyed if you went all the way there only to find out at the door? 👀

🧻 SHOPPERS TOP PICKS POP-UP — August 2026. WAS IT WORTH THE WAIT?

Here’s how it worked 👇

You waited in the giant line inside the Eaton Centre mall in downtown Toronto, got a little “passport” and had to visit 3 booths to collect 3 stickers:

🩹 Booth 1: ONE single Band-Aid
🍬 Booth 2: 3 sour candies
🍫 Booth 3: a tiny KitKat chocolate sample

Passport complete? Time for the wheel. More waiting. 🎡

You could choose between the physical wheel or the virtual one on an iPad. Staff warned that the physical wheel took longer.

The prize? 3 products from a selection of “Top Picks” chosen by influencers. The selection included Pepsi, mouthwash, wipes, sour candy, skincare, deodorant, curly hair products… and 12 rolls of toilet paper. 🧻

The catch? You didn’t get to choose your own Top Picks. The wheel decided which 3 products you got.

So, for example, someone with straight hair could end up with a product specifically made for curly hair. 🤨

And then came the toilet paper situation.

Some people tried to exchange it because they weren’t given a bag and had nothing to carry it in — making it pretty inconvenient if you wanted to keep shopping at the mall or take everything home for the weekend.

Did you stay in line? 👀
If you did, we want to know — was it worth it?
